12 Minute Meditation
A Meditation to Skillfully Connect With Your Anger
As today's teacher Jessica Morey says, "Anger's fundamental role is to protect us and protect what we care about in the world. It lets us know when a limit of ours, or a boundary, has been crossed." But because of its power and volatility, anger can be a troubling emotion to be with and a difficult one to work with. Today's practice is aimed at gaining insight into our anger so that we can respond skillfully in any given situation. Jessica Morey is a meditation teacher and coach. Mind the Moment in Everyday Life
How do I think about death mindfully?
"What do I want to do with this alive, conscious, embodied moment?" Jon thought that "staying focused on the present moment" meant never having to think about death, but Jess has some bad news for him: thinking about the body disintegrating is right in mindfulness's wheelhouse,. Khalila and Jess used to work together, so they know what it means to navigate tricky office dynamics--here, they address a viewer question about what happens when you keep having the same negative reaction to unreasonable work requests, despite your best efforts to "mindfulness your way through them." How to deal with the anxiety of time passing by so quickly?

But when you get older you ask, 'How many summers do I have left?'"
