Growing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Destructive Nature of Worldly Wisdom part 5aMoney is a hot topic in our nation right now. Gas prices at an all-time high, inflation, food prices rising. But what pastor Jim will focus on today is our attitude toward financial matters. We are studying James right now, and in the first several verses of chapter five, James lays it on the line - the way we view our finances says a great deal about our relationship with God.2025-07-2225 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Destructive Nature of Worldly Wisdom part 4bToday on Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett takes us to James four as we consider the fact that no one is guaranteed another day on this earth. James calls life a vapor, that can disappear in a mere gust of wind. Think about that as we join pastor Jim in James chapter four.2025-07-2125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Destructive Nature of Worldly Wisdom part 4bAs we continue looking at James chapter five today on Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett will share what James had to say to those who place wealth over God. There is no doubt that financial times are tough right now, with high prices for gas and food, but In these difficult times, we should be turning to God.2025-07-1825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Destructive Nature of Worldly Wisdom part 3aToday on Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett takes us once again to James chapter four, and we will begin a look at verses eleven and twelve. Here James warns us of the destruction that can be caused when we speak evil of another believer. If you’ve even been the victim of gossip within your church, you know exactly what James is talking about.2025-07-1525 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Destructive Nature of Worldly Wisdom part 1bOur Heavenly Father wants us to present our requests to Him.  And often times, the reason we don’t have some things is because we haven’t asked!  Pastor Jim Jarrett will explain in just a moment as we return to our study of James.  We’ll be in chapter four on this edition of Growing in the Word.2025-07-0925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordJames 3:13-18 part 3I’m sure you can remember times when you were young when you asked mom or dad for permission to go somewhere, but they said “no” to your request. Something like not letting you stay out past midnight, or not being able to go to a certain party. Generally, they had our best interest at heart, even though we didn’t see eye to eye.  There are also some things that our Heavenly Father says we are to avoid, and for our own good I might add. Today on Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett takes us to James cha...2025-07-0725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordJames 3:13-18 part 2Most of us have spent time in a quandary, wouldn’t you say?  It’s nice to know, that in this difficult, uncertain, and even perplexing world, that we have a God who is willing to give us His wisdom to help us through. Right now on the program, we are studying the challenging epistle of James.  We join our teacher, Pastor Jim Jarrett in the third chapter, verses thirteen through eighteen.2025-07-0625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordJames 3:13-18 part 1Today on Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett contrasts the wisdom that comes from below with the one that comes from above.  Obviously, the greater of the two is the one that comes from God and so that’s the one we’ll spend the majority of our time talking about today as we continue our pursuit through the book of James.2025-07-0625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordJames 1-3 Review part 2Our teacher is pastor Jim Jarrett, and today he brings us part two of his review of James chapters one through three. Our series through this awesome book is about at the halfway point, and pastor Jim thought it would be a good idea to pause and review what we’ve covered so far.2025-07-0625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordJames 1-3 Review part 1We are about halfway through our series through the book of James and today, pastor Jim will bring us a review of what we’ve covered do far, in chapters one through three. If you’re familiar with the Epistle of James, you know that James didn’t pull any punches in his exhortations about serving God and living a life that glorified Jesus Christ.2025-07-0625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Tongue Part 2 aHere on this installment of Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett contrasts the wisdom that comes from below with the one that comes from above.  Obviously, the greater of the two is the wisdom that comes from God and so that’s the one we’ll spend the majority of our time talking about as we continue our pursuit through the book of James. 2025-06-2625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Tongue Part 1 aToday on Growing in the Word, as we return to our study of James, we’ll be reminded of the power of words. They have the power to motivate millions of people to hang tough in a difficult situation, and they have the ability to cut a person to ribbons. Pastor Jim Jarrett is our teacher, and today he’ll show us what James has to say on the subject of the unbridled tongue.2025-06-2425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordA Living, Working Faith part 1As we study James chapter two again today, the subject will be an important one - faith. We know that faith alone saves us from hell. But faith is not just something we hide in our hearts, it’s something that should be displayed for the whole world to see. Does that describe your faith? James urges us to have a living, working faith, and that’s the title pastor Jim has given to today’s study in James two, verses twenty through twenty-six.2025-06-1925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordFulfilling The Royal Law part 3Today, pastor Jim is going to finish up a message based in James chapter two, titled “Fulfilling The Royal Law”. What is the “royal law”? Well, it goes by another name you might be familiar with, “the golden rule”. Whatever name you give it, loving the Lord with all of our hearts, and loving our neighbor as ourselves is the key to a happy and fulfilling life - and a life pleasing to God.2025-06-1325 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordFulfilling The Royal Law part 1We have thousands of laws on the books in all fifty states, and every time the Congress considers a new law, you need a wheelbarrow to cart the thousands of pages around. Today we are going to talk about a different law - a law described by James as “The Royal Law”. You’ll recognize it as pastor Jim goes along today. It’s the rule for living that Jesus Christ shared during the sermon on the mount. 2025-06-1125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordDo Not Be Partial part 1On today’s broadcast, Pastor Jim Jarrett returns to our study of James.  In our day and age, we’re encouraged to have favorites... from our favorite ice cream to our favorite sports team.  We have our favorite restaurant, and favorite friends too.  On today’s program, we see James underscore the sin of partiality. 2025-06-0525 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordBe Doers of the Word part 3Today, Jim continues his series in the epistle of James. Think back to when you were a kid and you received a new bicycle for the first time. Can you remember the excitement? Now, what was the first thing you did with that new bike? You took it out and rode it! What would your parents have thought if you put it in the garage and left it there? Well, that’s what a lot of Christians do with the word of God - they receive this wonderful gift, and keep it to themselves. 2025-06-0425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordBe Doers Of The Word Part 2Today Jim continues his series through the epistle of James with another look at chapter one, verses twenty-two through twenty-seven. This is an extremely important and relevant section of scripture because James urges us to not just hear the word of God, but to also put what we hear into action.2025-06-0325 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordReceiving the Word part 1The Bible is the best selling book of all time and has been translated into more languages than any other book - by a wide margin. In today’s study, pastor Jim takes us to James chapter one, where James urges us to be doers of the word. What does that mean? How can we put the word of God into action?2025-05-2925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Goodness of God part 3Again today we’ll be challenged by the uncompromising exhortations of James. It’s a fact that James’ teachings have caused some controversy over the years, but there shouldn’t be any controversy at all. Today, Jim will finish his look at James chapter one, verses sixteen through eighteen. He’s titled this message “The Goodness of God”. A lot of people today think of God as some kind of vindictive bully, but nothing could be further from the truth.2025-05-2825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Goodness Of God Part 2James was the first leader of the Christian church, and a very zealous teacher. Compromise was not a word he used. In chapter one of his epistle, we find more evidence of that fact. Today Jim will remind us again of the greatness of God. Are you ready to be challenged?2025-05-2725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordReceiving the Word part 1The Bible is the best selling book of all time and has been translated into more languages than any other book - by a wide margin. A lot of people today think of God as some kind of vindictive bully, but nothing could be further from the truth. 2025-05-2125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Goodness Of God Part 2Pastor Jim Jarrett will once again lead us today in a study of James chapter one. James was the first leader of the Christian church, and a very zealous teacher. Compromise was not a word he used. In chapter one of his epistle, we find more evidence of that fact. Today Jim will remind us again of the greatness of God.2025-05-2025 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordAn Illustration of Wisdom in Trials part 1Today on Growing in the Word we’ll be addressing the proper way to deal with the trials of life. Pastor Jim Jarrett is taking us through the epistle of James.  Today we’ll be presenting Jim’s message called “An Illustration of Wisdom in Trials”, based on James chapter one, verses nine through twelve. 2025-05-1625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordIf Any Of You Lacks Wisdom part 3On today’s broadcast, Pastor Jim Jarrett returns to our study of James.  In our day and age we’re encouraged to do what feels good. If it offends or inconveniences someone else, so what?.   Part of Christian maturity is considering others ahead of ourselves. We’ll soon see that when it comes to the law of love there is no room for selfishness.2025-05-1525 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordChristian Trials And Maturity Part 2It’s pretty easy to tell a mature piece of fruit from an immature one. But how do we know a mature Christian when we see one? Today on Growing in the Word, pastor Jim Jarrett resumes his verse  by verse study of James, by taking us back to chapter one.  Here, we find James referring to something that will put us in a position to receive and respond to God’s Word. 2025-05-0925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordIntro To James Part 3On today’s edition of Growing in the Word with Pastor Jim Jarrett, we return to our new verse by verse study in James.  Wisdom is something we all need at various times in our lives, in fact more times than not.  James makes it clear that we should go to God, the author of wisdom, when in need.2025-05-0725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordIntro To James Part 2Today we continue our look at James with pastor Jim Jarrett.  If you had to describe your life, and what's going on right now, I think it's safe to say many of us would point to a trial or two that we're experiencing.  And maybe you feel like you're being steamrolled by a trial right now?  Today, we receive great encouragement from James, who went through suffering himself, and explains why we go through them.2025-05-0625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Believer’s Benefit Package part 3bIf you want a good picture of what love is, look no further than God Himself.  He not only demonstrated His love to us, through the sending of His Son to this earth, but lavishly pours out His love into our hearts once we believe!  And it gets even better!  God wants to enable and empower you to love like He loves!  We’ll hear all about it today on Growing in the Word, as pastor Jim Jarrett brings us the conclusion of his mini-series titled “The Believer’s Benefit Package”. 2025-05-0225 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Believer’s Benefit Package part 3aPastor Jim Jarrett is sharing a new miniseries titled “The Believer’s Benefit Package”, and we are studying the first eleven verses of Romans chapter five, where we’re told that God’s love is lavishly given to us when we come to Christ.2025-05-0125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Believer’s Benefit Package part 2bToday on Growing in the Word see what trials can do for you and how best to respond to them! Pastor Jim Jarrett is sharing a new miniseries titled “The Believer’s Benefit Package”, and in Romans chapter five, the apostle Paul mentions a few of the things that trials produce in our lives.2025-04-3025 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Believer’s Benefit Package part 2aChristians will face tribulation and persecution.  Here’s something else you can be sure of… God will be with you in those trials, you have complete access to Him, and you can experience His peace as well.  Let’s talk about it right now on Growing in the Word as pastor Jim Jarrett brings us another message from his mini-series titled, “The Believer’s Benefit Package”. 2025-04-2925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Believer’s Benefit Package part 1bToday on Growing in the Word, we continue pastor Jim Jarrett’s new mini-series called “The Believer’s Benefit Package”. There are so many blessings that come our way when we give our life to Jesus, and that’s what Jim is talking about in today’s message. We are using the fifth chapter of Romans as the basis for this review of the benefits of being a born-again child of God. 2025-04-2825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Believer’s Benefit Package part 1aToday on Growing in the Word, we begin a new mini-series from pastor Jim Jarrett, titled “The Believer’s Benefit Package”. Many businesses offer benefit packages to their employees. Health care, vacations, profit sharing, things like that. As Christians, we are justified by faith in Christ, and that means we have a wonderful benefit package given to us by God. What are those benefits? We’ll begin to explore that today.2025-04-2525 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers of Scripture Part 6bToday we wrap up our look at the “one another” statements in scripture. To say this series has been challenging is an understatement. But we need to remember that if we take these “one another” and really apply them to our relationships, we will be a fantastic witness for the Lord!2025-04-2425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers of Scripture Part 6aOn today’s program, pastor Jim begins the final message in his series  called “The One Another’s Of Scripture”. As the title implies, we have spent the last couple of weeks, looking at the one another commands found in God’s word, and what a challenging journey it has been! As Jim has said often in this series, the way we treat one another is one of the greatest demonstrations we can give to the world, of the difference God has made in our lives.2025-04-2325 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 5bLet me ask you this - when you get together with your church family, are you as hospitable as you are with your own family? Hospitality will be the topic today as pastor Jim continues his series on the “One Another’s” of scripture. Today, we’ll focus on showing hospitality to one another. They say that blood is thicker than water, but the blood of Christ is what brings us together as a family of believers.2025-04-2225 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 5aOur relationship with one another should be much more than the two hours we spend at church on Sunday. We are challenged repeatedly in God’s word to be much more than just a casual acquaintance. Today, we will be challenged to submit to one another, and to bear one another’s burdens. We’ll begin today in Ephesians chapter five.2025-04-2125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEaster part 2Today we bring you a special message for this special day, as we remember the great sacrifice Jesus made on the cross of Calvary. He died a painful and unjust death for a wonderful reason - to save us from the penalty of our sins. But if Jesus had died on the cross, and the story ended there, we would be in big trouble. But Jesus rose from the grave and walked out of the tomb, and bridged the gap between us and a perfect and Holy God.2025-04-1825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEaster part 1With all of the turmoil going on in the world right now, isn’t it a comfort to know that God is in control? This coming Sunday we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s the most significant event in human history. Can you imagine going through life in this mixed-up and violent world without the promise of eternal life in heaven? That promise was cemented in stone when the Lord rose from the grave and walked out of that tomb.2025-04-1725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 4aim will bring us today another message in his series on the “One Anothers” in scripture. Today, we will look at two “One Anothers” - Instruct One Another, and Stir One Another Up”. These two precepts go hand in hand, because if we are instructing one another, than certainly that is going to cause us to be stirred up for the cause of Christ. Could you use a little “stirring” today?2025-04-1625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 3aOur series on the “One Anothers” of scripture continues today , as we look at encouraging one another. Do you have someone in your life who is good at that? Having a friend who encourages you is such a blessing, because let’s face it - there are a lot more people out there in the world who want to tear you down! 2025-04-1525 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 3aToday, we continue Jim’s new series titled “One Anothers”. Throughout the bible, and particularly in the New Testament,  we see these “One Anothers” - admonishments for the people then, and for us now, as to how to treat our brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, we will learn how to “build one another up”. Now, the world is hung up on “self-esteem”, but building one another up in Christ has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with reminding each other that we are loved by God.2025-04-1425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 2bWe are so excited here on Growing in the Word to bring you a brand new series from pastor Jim Jarrett, focusing on the “one another” statements in the bible. We’ve already focused on Loving one another, serving one another and forgiving one another, among others, and today, pastor Jim will urge us to care for one another and do good to one another.2025-04-1125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 2aJim has just begun a new series focusing on the “one another” statements we find in God’s word. Today, we’ll look at several of these precepts for Christian living, specifically, “Greet One Another”, and “ Be Kind to One Another”. It’s makes sense that the way we treat our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ is a great example to the world on the impact God makes in our lives.2025-04-1025 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 1cIt’s a great pleasure to have you with us today as we continue Jim’s new series, focusing on the “one anothers” of scripture. As we wrap up Jim’s first message in this series today, we will focus on several very key “One Anothers”, including “Accepting One Another”. Does that mean we look the other way when we see someone in open rebellion toward God? Not at all. There’s a big difference between accepting one another in love, and turning a blind eye toward sin. 2025-04-0925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 1bToday we bring you the second message in Jim’s new series, exploring the “one another” statements in the Bible. Last time, Jim introduced us the series, and shared the first “one another” - Love One Another. And really, when you think about it, every other one another we find, flows directly from this first one. If we truly love one another, then the rest of them will be a piece of cake! Today, Jim shares several more “one anothers”, so let’s get right to today’s study.2025-04-0825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordOne Anothers Part 1aToday we begin a very exciting new series here on the program, as we look at the “One Anothers” of scripture. There are many “one another” in God’s word, and pastor Jim will put a focus on them over the next several weeks. Today, Jim will give us a bit of an introduction to the series, and why he feels so strongly that we need to understand what these “One Anothers” really mean for Christian living. And, we’ll look at the first “one another” - Love One Another”!2025-04-0725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 9-10 Part 2Today is a special day on the program as we being to a close pastor Jim’s series through Esther. What an amazing story! And it has a very happy ending as we will see today. Movies these days don’t always end the way we’d like, but the story of Esther and her cousin Mordecai, and their triumph over the evil forces trying to destroy them would get a standing ovation in any movie theater these days. Join us for one last look at a great story of faith, perseverance and the amazing grace of God.2025-04-0425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 9-10 part 1This story of great triumph doesn’t end with Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai’s victory over the evil Haman. They may have won the battle, but there is still a war against their people, the Jews. Esther must stop a decree that has gone out to the nation that calls for the destruction of the Jewish people. Would you have the courage to do something extraordinary when called upon by God?2025-04-0325 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 8 Part 2We’ve been making our way the book of Esther with pastor Jim Jarrett!  God’s remarkable sovereign care of His people comes shining through today as we notice the very special love He has for them. We pick up in our story with the decision to not plunder the people. It’s a noble example for us to follow. Again we’re in the book of Esther, picking up in chapter eight.2025-04-0225 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 8 part 1In Esther chapter eight we’ll learn that God’s sovereign control is not an excuse for believers to be indifferent toward the world’s evils. It’s a real cop-out for believers to turn their back on the world’s problems by saying “God is in control”.2025-04-0125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 7 part 2Today on Growing in the Word, our study of Esther chapter seven will provide incentives to use our authority responsibly. Pastor Jim Jarrett is taking us through this fascinating book in a verse by verse fashion, and today, we will complete chapter seven. Haman is the poster boy for the misuse of authority, and today, he gets his just desserts.2025-03-3125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 7 part 1Pastor Jim is taking us through the Old Testament book of Esther, and in chapter seven, we come to a climax in this intriguing story of the providence of God preserving His people in answer to their prayer. The timing of the events we see here is nothing less than miraculous and very encouraging to God’s people.2025-03-2825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 6Today, pastor Jim will continue his verse by verse study through Esther, as we begins a study in chapter six.  Here, Haman serves as a classic example of misreading circumstances. As a result - he’s in for a big surprise. And it’s not a happy one.2025-03-2725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 6 part 1 If God is working His plan in our lives, does that mean we can just kick back and relax? Absolutely not! The sovereignty of God is not to be an excuse for indifference or carelessness - but to comfort us and strengthen our resolve.  As we continue in the book of Esther today on Growing in the Word - we’ll be given great assurance that what is happening in our lives in not just a coincidence.2025-03-2625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 5 part 2 If you were with us last time, you’ll remember Queen Esther was fearful to come before the king to intercede on behalf of her people. But she worked through those fears. We pick things up today in chapter five, with Esther now reassured she can bring her requests before God.2025-03-2525 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 5 part 1Our teacher is pastor Jim Jarrett, and today he continues a verse by verse study through the book of Esther. Today we begin a look at chapter five. Let’s look at it now with pastor Jim, as he begins with a review of what we’ve recently learned about the life and times of Esther. 2025-03-2425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 4 part 2Pastor Jim is sharing a fascinating series based in the book of Esther, and today we will finish chapter four, with a look at the very famous verse “For such as time as this.” It’s a call to stand for the Lord - and to prepare our children for the challenges they’ll face in life. And it will be a battle! 2025-03-2125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 4 part 1 Pastor Jim Jarrett is taking us through the book of Esther, and we’ve arrived in chapter four. It’s here that Mordecai hears of the decree that the Jews are to be destroyed. How does he react? He prays and fasts, and calls for Esther to act.2025-03-2025 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 3 part 2In the book of Esther, we have the historical account of a high official in the ancient Persian Empire named Haman, who is unable to control a Jew named Mordecai. It makes him furious, to the point where Haman, in his anger, not only seeks to murder Mordecai, but all Jews. But why he does so is very instructive.2025-03-1925 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 3 part 1 Esther is more than a story of a beautiful and Godly woman, it’s also a story of deceit, jealousy, and ultimately, God’s provision for his people. Esther reminds us also that despite these events took place twenty-five hundred years ago, human behavior hasn’t changed much, and God’s omnipotence hasn’t changed at all! 2025-03-1825 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 2 part 2We’re studying the book of Esther, and today as we finish chapter two, we actually see the circumstances in which Esther came to the Persian  Monarch  to be his wife. First she had to endure a beauty contest that lasted four years! Esther is a wonderful book to study because, despite the fact that God is not mentioned in the text of the book, we can see His hands all over this story.2025-03-1725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 2 part 1It may be a bit of a stretch, but today on the program, we’ll ask you to imagine back to the time about five hundred years before Christ, and picture what the Miss America Pageant would have looked like back then. I’d bet there wouldn’t have been a swimsuit competition, but the talent segments would have been interesting! That’s petty much what we see as we study Esther chapter two - An ancient beauty contest.2025-03-1425 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 1 Part 2Today we continue our study in the book of Esther. The name “Esther” means “star”, and the woman we meet in this book definitely deserves some pretty high billing, but as we’ll see through this book, the real start here is God. The way He works behind the scenes is truly magnificent. We’ll concentrate today and tomorrow on another character we meet in Esther - King Ahasuerus, and his problems with pride.2025-03-1325 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordEsther 1 part 1There are a great many differences between life in the Old Testament days and life in the year 2025. Today’s study in Esther is a good example. A Persian Monarch gave a great feast...he wanted his wife to show off her femininity to his pals, and she refused, so he kicked her out of the palace. You’d have a hard time getting away with that today, wouldn’t you? Through all of this, of course, God was at work. That’s one thing that hasn’t changed.2025-03-1225 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordIntro to EstherOn today’s broadcast we begin a new book of the Bible, the book of Esther. Esther paints a graphic picture of the world at that time. There’s an old proverb that says, “First a man takes a drink - then the drink takes the man.” The book of Esther has a lot to say about the dangers of drunkenness. We’ll meet a King who has the ability to do whatever he wants and it leads to disaster.2025-03-1125 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordForgotten Promises part 2 There came a time in Nehemiah thirteen when the people’s devotion needed to be rekindled. We’ll see how the Lord brings this about in their lives, as well as in our own. Today Pastor Jim Jarrett will put the finishing touches on our study of Nehemiah.2025-03-1025 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordForgotten Promises part 2The wall in Jerusalem had been rebuilt, it was a great time of rejoicing and celebration over all that God had done. But very sadly, things take a turn for the worse as we open Nehemiah thirteen today on Growing in the Word. And how often have we seen it, after a great victory, comes a terrible defeat. It’s not only common in athletics, but in our spiritual lives too.2025-03-0725 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Dedication part 2Pastor Jim Jarrett has framed his study around Nehemiah twelve. Now to bring you up to speed, in case you haven’t been with us, the building of the wall of Jerusalem has just been completed. That was a huge accomplishment, and the people were truly excited about it. So it was time to have a dedication service, and give all the glory to God.2025-03-0625 minGrowing in the WordGrowing in the WordThe Dedication part 1Jim is nearing the end of the book of Nehemiah and brings chapter twelve into focus today.
