She wrote this story as a parent navigating depression, with the goal of giving families a simple, age-appropriate way to talk about emotions without fear or blame. Through storytelling, conversation prompts, and visual tools, my work supports emotional literacy, connection, and the idea that it’s okay to not be okay, especially within families.
