朋友见面, 总要握手表示友好, 但是握手也有一定的学问。在一般情况下, 应该等女士, 年龄大的人或职位高的人先伸出手, 男士, 年龄小的或职位低的人才能伸出手。在家里客人来的时候, 主人应该先伸出手表示欢迎; 而客人走的时候, 应该等客人先伸出手, 否则有想让客人赶快离开的意思。跟别人握手, 应摘掉手套, 不然很不礼貌。男士与女士握手时应该轻轻地握, 这样是表示尊敬。一般情况下, 如果不是老朋友见面, 最好不要用两只手去握对方的一只手。在有外国人的场合, 一定不要用左手和人握手, 因为有的国家的人认为左手是不干净的, 不能去碰别人。还有, 一定不要跟两个人同时握手, 西方人认为这是不吉利的。

如果家里来了客人, 怎么招待客人呢? 招待客人的时候都有什么礼节呢? 中国人一般首先要请客人喝茶。给客人倒茶的时候, 不能把茶杯倒满, 倒大半杯就可以了。给客人送茶的时候, 一只手端着杯子, 一只手扶着杯子底; 不能用一只 手抓着杯子的口, 这样的话是不想让客人喝的意思。另外还要注意, 不要不停地给客人加茶, 因为这样做的意思是觉得客人在这儿的时间太长了, 应该走了。跟客人聊天儿的时候, 也不要看表, 这也是让客人走的意思。如果留客人在家里吃饭, 少不了要喝酒, 给客人倒酒的时候, 一定要倒得很满才行。而给客人盛饭的时候, 就不要盛得太满; 如果太满表示不想 让客人吃第二碗。要是有鱼, 那么鱼头要对着客人, 表示尊敬。还有主人不能很快吃完饭而让客人一个人吃饭, 必须要陪着客人, 主人应该是最 后一个吃完的。
