In the state of Maryland, students must complete service learning hours as part of their graduation requirement. According to the Maryland State Department of Education website, Maryland is the first state in the nation to implement this requirement. So, Beyond Rhetoric helped students in the state fulfill a graduation requirement while completing successful fundraiser. Students were expected to canvas near Chipotle in College Park Maryland.
