【English】 Taiwan’s CPC Corporation and Alaska Gas Development Corporation (AGDC) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the purchase and investment in liquefied natural gas (LNG). The agreement was signed by CPC President Chang Min and AGDC CEO Frank Richards, witnessed by Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy and Taiwan’s Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Chih-Kuei. The minister clarified that contrary to Korean media reports of a USD 44 billion oil pipeline, the current LOI only involves LNG cooperation, with no oil pipeline plan, and investment details will be discussed after 2030.
