PPP - Der Post-Punk-PodcastIm Schatten von Bela Lugosi: Bauhaus und die NachfolgerMit "Bela Lugosis Dead" schufen Bauhaus 1979 gleich ein Werk, das Fluch und Segen zugleich wurde. Der Song machte die Band um Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J. und Kevin Haskins zu Postpunk- und Gothic-Ikonen.
Nach dem Split 1983 versuchten die Musiker in neuen Bands wie Tones On Tail, Dalis Car, Love And Rockets oder solistisch den Schatten Lugosis abzuschütteln. So ganz gelang das nie, wie einige Reunions zeigen. Doch Peter Murphy als Solist sowie Ash, J. und Haskins als Love And Rockets konnten in den späten Achtzigern immerhin einige kommerzielle Erfolge in den USA feiern.
