Die (bürgerliche) Frauenbewegung 1900 - 1919Im zweiten Teil unseres Streifzugs durch die deutsche Frauenbewegung widmen wir uns dem Zeitraum von 1900 bis zur Wahl zur Nationalversammlung am 19.1.1919 - der ersten reichsweiten Wahl, an der auch Frauen teilnahmen.
Wir sprechen über die Ausdifferenzierung der politischen Landschaft in der Frauenbewegung, das Aufkommen der Stimmrechtsbewegung, den Internationalen Frauentag und die Frauenbewegung im Krieg. Dabei konzentrieren wir uns auf die sogenannte "Heimatfront", nachdem die pazifistische Frauenbewegung bereits ihre eigene Folge bekommen hat. Aufgewachsen als höhere Tochter in Berlin, wusste sie, was es hieß, Chancen verwehrt zu bekommen. Sie erkämpfte sich Bildung - und nutzte sie, um auch anderen Menschen ein besseres Leben zu ermöglichen. Sie wurde Beamtin im Sozialwesen, Abgeordnete in Nationalversammlung und Reichstag, kämpfte für Frauenrechte und widersetzte sich den Nationalsozialisten. Dafür wurde sie 1937 für mehrere Monate inhaftiert. Nach der Nazizeit begann ihre zweite Parlamentskarriere: Als Alterspräsidentin des Deutschen Bundestags.
