Я просто понятия не имел, что кульминацией всего этого станет три года спустя альбом Basie Swings The Blues.
Это сборник разовых сессий с великими блюзовыми исполнителями, которые помнят те времена и атмосферу. То есть, мы слышим именно свинговый блюз старой школы, характерный этому оркестру в разное время творчества. Другими словами, у оркестра тогда и сейчас, лучше всего получается играть именно блюзы.
