Choosing Quinn's name, Blake Lively knows I exist, worst hangover as new parents
Picking our baby girl's name was 1000x easier than coming up with a boy name. Loryn reviewed Blake Lively's cocktail line and Blake mentioned her by her nickname, so naturally, Loryn is still not over it. Shawn and Loryn also got to have their first date night out since having a baby, which was really Loryn's first BIG night out since before she was pregnant. Spoiler: worst hangover ever. Biggest struggles and surprises as new parents
One of the biggest struggles for Shawn was just how much his life changed all of the sudden. And surprisingly, this didn't affect Loryn at all. There was a bit of a role reversal when Quinn was born. Shawn (who has lots of experience with babies) had a hard time adjusting, while Loryn (who has zero experience) found herself way more obsessed with her baby than she thought possible. Pumpkin spice themed baby shower, showing our baby on social media
Loryn had an epic pumpkin spice themed baby shower, and with just about a month left, we're feeling the pressure to get everything done around the house before baby's arrival. We get a lot of questions about whether or not we'll show our baby on social media, and we examine how we feel about it. Shawn reveals what he think he'll be better at when it comes to parenting, and Loryn is thrilled with his revelation. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce theory, maternity vs. paternity leave, and an update on our couch fire disaster
Everyone's talking about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce this week and we are no exception! Shawn's all for it, while Loryn has different feelings. Speaking of superstars, N*SYNC had a helluva a week, and Loryn learned the story behind Justin Timberlake's infamous pronunciation of the "It's gonna be me." We also get into the frustration that is maternity vs. paternity leave, and why everyone expects Shawn to return to work immediately, but not Loryn. This week's "I Just Found Out" involve a fun fact about Cheetos, and how giraffes test for ovulation (they test for ovulation?!)

Birth class, picking a doula, couch fire, and southern vs. midwest slang
We went to an 8-hour birth 101 class and survived. You know what didn't? Our new couch. The sleeper sofa we JUST bought for our parents' to use once baby's here caught fire at the store before we picked up. Speaking of hot messes, we quiz each other on southern vs. midwest slang, and Loryn deals with a prenatal massage scam.Follow CaPower hour on Instagram here and leave us comments/questions/topic suggestions!Subscribe to our podcast! Our marriage language, baby name hints, and what made Loryn cry this week?
There's a hilarious trend going around where couples are revealing the most embarrassingly cringey things they say in their relationship, and we had to bring up a few of our own. Shawn almost gives away our baby's name, so we decide to drop a new hint each week to see if anyone can guess it. Busch Light dropped a pumpkin brew (sort of), we learn more amazing Australian slang, and there's a new segment called "What made Loryn cry this week?" And yes, it's as irrational as it sounds.
