Brian DePalma Month, Week 2 - The Fury (1977) with OOTim
Episode 122 - Welcome back to DePalma month. This week we are joined by one of our old friends OOTim. If you enjoyed OOTim's analytical breakdown of Blade Runner, then you are sure to enjoy his breakdown of a less analyzed film; The Fury (1977). The Fury is DePalma's lesser known psychic supernatural thriller film that came out in the mid-1970's. The more well-known version of this would be Carrie (1976). We do have a supplemental style discussion of Carrie towards the end of this one, but do tune in for our explosive discussion of The Fury. And tune...

Episode 89 - This week we put a bow on our month in Korea exploring various genres. Our final film is The Good, The Bad and the Weird (2008) which is a western set in Manchuria in the 1940's. It is an interesting film which is a parody/riff on The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, where a mix of Korean, Chinese and Japanese characters are all going after a map that allegedly leads to buried treasure.
