Bu namazın fazîleti konusunda Enes b. Mâlik'in -Allah ondan râzı olsun-, Peygamber -sallallahu aleyhi ve sellem-'den rivâyet ettiği şu hadis gelmiştir:
مَنْ صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، كَانَتْ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ، تَامَّةٍ، تَامَّةٍ، تَامَّةٍ. [ رواه الترمذي، وحسنه الشيخ الألباني في صحيح سنن الترمذي ]

إذَا اسْتُغِيثَ اسْمٌ مُنَادَى خُفِضَا ¤ بِاللَّامِ مَفْتُوحاً كَيَا لَلْمُرْتَضَى
Apabila Isim Munada dibuat Istighotsah maka ia dijarkan oleh Lam istighatsah yg berharkat Fathah. Contoh “Yaa Lal-Murtadhaa” (Tolonglah wahai orang yg Diridhoi Allah!)
وَافْتَحْ مَعَ المَعْطُوفِ إنْ كَرَّرْتَ يَا ¤ وَفِي سِوَى ذَلِكَ بِالْكَسْرِ ائْتِيَا
Fathahkan juga Lam Istighasah yg menyertai Ma’thufnya jika kamu mengulang kata “Yaa”, selain daripada itu (tanpa mengulang Yaa pada Ma’thuf) maka gunakanlah Lam Istighotsah yg berharkat kasrah.
ISTIGHATSAH (minta pertolongan) : termasuk salah satu dari jenis Nida (panggilan/kata seru) yaitu menyeru pihak kedua agar membebaskan dari hal yg tidak diinginkan yg telah terjadi, atau menyerunya untuk menolak dari suatu yg tidak diinginkan agar tidak terjadi. Perangkat Istighotsah tersebut menggunakan kata “YAA”.
