EXPLAIN ANALYZEAGENTS.md vs Skills: MLOps, Evals & Agent Governance with Maria VechtomovaAgent code can look productive right up until a dependency changes, an eval misses the real failure mode, or an over-permissioned tool turns a routine task into a security incident. So what does it actually take to operate AI systems responsibly? In this episode, Mehdi, Dumky de Wilde, and Maria Vechtomova connect MLOps and LLMOps to agent evals, MCP governance, regenerated software, security, and the engineering practices that still matter when outputs are non-deterministic.All links and note : https://motherduck.com/podcast Chapters: 00:00 Meet Maria Vechtomova 01:01...

Humans of ReliabilityLLM Observability: Lessons From MLOps w/ Maria Vechtomova (Cauchy)For nine years, Maria Vechtomova was shouting about monitoring. Nobody cared, until LLMs arrived. As co-founder of Cauchy, Databricks MVP, and one of the most followed voices in MLOps, Maria has watched the field evolve from hand-built experiment trackers to today's flood of observability tools, and her central claim might surprise you: globally, nothing has changed. The fundamentals are the same: track your code, data, and models so you can roll back when something breaks. What did change is the surface area. Tools, prompts, embeddings, agents, every component shifts behavior unpredictably, and business met...

Beyond CodingThe AI Skills Software Engineers Need to Learn NowSoftware engineers often think adding AI is just a simple API call, but moving from a Proof of Concept to a stable production system requires a completely different mindset. Maria Vechtomova breaks down the harsh reality of MLOps, why rigorous evaluation is non-negotiable, and why autonomous agents are riskier than you think. In this episode, we cover:The essential MLOps principles every software engineer must learnHow to bridge the gap between a demo and a production-grade solutionStrategies for evaluating agents and detecting model driftThe security risks of customer service agents and...
