What A Madam Knows About Sex That You Don't
Antonia Murphy knows more about sex than pretty much anyone I’ve ever spoken to. Antonia was raising three kids, including one with a serious disability, in a small town in New Zealand when her marriage unravelled. A lot of women make big changes after divorce, and Antonia took that to a whole new level - she opened a legal, ethical brothel. In this shame-free conversation, Antonia shares the set of events that led her there, what she learned about what the women who worked at the brothel wanted and needed. And, of course, what the clients - a...

Being Human - A poem to remind us who we are
In this 93rd episode, I share a poem called "Being Human" by Naima Penniman. I thought of this poem over the weekend while on a short getaway with my wife in Joshua Tree, CA. It was a weekend of relaxation, celebration, contemplation, and nature. At one point in our conversation, my wife Debbie mentioned that it can be such a curse to be human because we seem to have so much internal chatter in the background of our thoughts that isn't always supportive. I think that we can all appreciate the tendency to self-criticize and...

Fated Mates - Romance Books for Novel People
Comfort Reads and Finding Solace in Romance
Like many people, we don't have much to say this week, and whatever we might have said probably wouldn't have been very eloquent, so we've decided to talk about something we know about: Comfort reading and the way romance provides us solace, peace and hope. This week's books are our old reliables--books that we turn to again and again for a reminder that love triumphs, hope sings and romance is resolute. We're so happy you're here; we are, too, for as long as you'll have us. If you want more romance content, maybe you want...

Vincent Herring's Something Else! band puts a soul jazz twist on popular jazz standards
Alto saxophone great Vincent Herring brought a soulful feeling and a new all-star band to Dimitrou’s Jazz Alley, visiting the KNKX studios for an exclusive performance while they were in Seattle. The inspiration for his new Something Else! band came from Herring attending Motown revues as a kid. “The Temptations, Diana Ross… it was so fun to go to that concert because you knew all these songs,” he told KNKX.Herring took that idea and ran with it. Police said the stabbing unfolded outside a McDonald's in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. Liggon was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle, police said. Officers responded to the hospital just after 2 a.m. on a report of a teen girl with stab wounds, and despite life-saving efforts, she died. Sitting in Suffering: Take this cup
In episode 163, we do something different. I felt like God was inviting me to have one more guest before the finale, and I had several exciting options in mind. Then, every single one said no. I was left with a sense there was one more episode, but no clue who to invite. Then, on the morning of my self-determined deadline, I felt like God wanted me to read the verse of the day, and immediately I knew who the guest would be: the "suffering servant" himself, Jesus. Obviously, I didn't get Jesus on the mic, but he h...

I Norge har covid-19-vaksinasjonsdekningen vært lavere blant utenlandsfødte og norskfødte med utenlandsfødte foreldre enn blant norskfødte med norskfødte foreldre. Hvorfor er det sånn?
