ਜੈਸੇ ਗਊ ਆਦਿਕੋਂ ਕਾ ਦੂਧ ਜਿਨ ਛੇਕੋਂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਚੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਵਹੁ ਦੂਧ ਉਨ ਅਸਥਨੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਉਨ ਛੋਕੋਂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਫੇਰ ਉਲਟਾ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵਤਾ। ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਫੇਰ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਮੇਂ ਜੁਬਾ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਕਾ ਮੇਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ; ਵਾ ਏਕ ਵਾਰ ਜੁਦਾ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਜੀਉ ਇਸ ਦੇਹ ਮੇਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵਤਾ ਹੈ॥੨॥

ਕਿਤੇ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿਤੇ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿਤੇ ਨਾਚ ਦੇ ਨਚਾਰ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਨਰ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ।
ਕਹੂੰ ਬੇਦ ਬਾਨੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਕੋਕ ਕੀ ਕਹਾਨੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਕਹੂੰ ਰਾਨੀ ਕਹੂੰ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੋ ॥
Somewhere Thou art the vedic hymns and somewhere the story of the elucidator of the mystery of love, somewhere Thou art Thyself the king, the queen and also various types of woman.
ਕਿਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੇਦ-ਬਾਣੀ ਹੋ, ਕਿਤੇ ਕਾਮ ਦੇ ਭੇਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਬ੍ਰਿੱਤਾਂਤ ਹੋ, ਕਿਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿਤੇ ਰਾਣੀ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੋ।
ਕਹੂੰ ਬੇਨ ਕੇ ਬਜਯਾ ਕਹੂੰ ਧੇਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਯਾ ਕਹੂੰ ਲਾਖਨ ਲਵਯਾ ਕਹੂੰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਹੋ ॥
Somewhere Thou art the player of flute, somewhere the grazier of cows and somewhere Thou art the beautiful youth, enticer of lakhs (of lovely maids.)
ਕਿਤੇ ਬੰਸਰੀ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਕਿਤੇ ਗਊਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਕਿਤੇ (ਵਿਅਰਥ ਦੀਆਂ) ਤੋਹਮਤਾਂ ਲਗਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਹੋ।
ਸੁਧਤਾ ਕੀ ਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਹਾ ਦਾਨਿ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਨ੍ਰਿਦੋਖੀ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਹੋ ॥੮॥੧੮॥
Somewhere Thou art the splendour of Purity, the life of the saints, the Donor of great charities and the immaculate Formless Lord. 8.18.

* ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ: ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਮਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ-ਪੁਸਤਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੰਦਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ, ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤਾ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੀਏ, ਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਡੋਲਣ ਦੇਈਏ। ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਾਨੋ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਵਿਚ ਉਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ!।੩੧।

ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਮਨਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਰਹਸਾਏ ਨਹੀ ਆਏ ਸਹਜਾਏ ਮਨਿ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
The Guru has implanted spiritual wisdom within my mind, and I rejoice that I shall not have to come back again. I have obtained celestial poise, and the treasure within my mind.
ਜਬ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਂ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕਰਾਇ ਦੀਏ ਤਬ ਹਮ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੇਂ ਆਏ ਫੇਰ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਅੰਤਸ਼ਕਰਣ ਆਨ ਬਿਖਿਓਂ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ। ਸੋ ਅੰਤਹਕਰਣ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮੇਂ ਆਏ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵ ਅਬ ਔਰ ਕਾ ਬਚਨ ਕੁਬਚਨ ਭੀ ਸਹਾਰ ਲੇਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਅਬ ਮਨ ਹੀ ਮੇਂ ਸਰਬ ਕਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਹਰੀ ਜੀ ਪਾਏ ਹੈਂ॥
