The Blasters and Blades Podcast
Episode 582: The Orion's Arm Series by Les Johnson
The Blasters & Blades PodcastWow, oh wow, was this a fun chat with author Les Johnson about The Orion’s Arm Series that he co-wrote with Travis Taylor. We spent way too much time getting nerdy about science fiction and the science that it inspired. We talked about the properties of our childhood and what we dig in the modern markets. And we got a tad nerdy about time travel, a not so secret passion of mine. This was a fun interview, so go check it out. Today's Host: JR Handley (Author) (Grunt)We work for free, so if you wa...

Happy Hour with John Gaskins
Woe are The Wolves! Game 2 Die Hard Wrap with USF coach Chris Johnson & Jonny Opps (Sunny's Pizzeria & Orion Pub owner)
What's there to say about another infuriating, deflating Minnesota Timberwolves spanking from the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 on Thursday night? Plenty! It's another group therapy session after Minnesota again waited until the third quarter to get mauled — by SAG's flops, by the OKC mob, by its own self-inflicted wounds and self-doubt. If we can't cry (or already have), we might as well laugh. Our usual three-man weave of host/point guard John Gaskins, University of Sioux Falls coach Chris Johnson — a Twin Cities native — and fellow die-hard fan Jon Oppold (Orion Pub and Su...

It's another Wolves Pow Wow with John Gaskins and , the day after the Game 4 win to go up 3-1 with a chance of a close-out at home on Wednesday. USF men's basketball Chris Johnson, a Twin Cities native and die-hard Wolves fan, joins the mix to strip down what the Wolves are crushing and what the keep doing that could crush them — either in Game 5, or in the next round. In other words, ar...
