Iraqi Kurdistan (2019)Eva Maria Steiger, nom de guerre Elefteria Hambi, was a German environmentalist activist and anarchist who joined the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) in 2018. After a year in northern Syria, she left to join the People's Defence Forces (HPG) in Gara, northern Iraq, where she eventually lost her life in a Turkish airstrike.
The name "Elefteria" was taken in inspiration from an earlier martyr and is Greek for "Freedom"/"Liberty", whilst "Hambi" references the aforementioned Hambach Forest defence for which the most well known slogan is "Hambi Bleibt" (German = "Hambi Stays").
An exceptionally inspiring person.

僕の良くないところなのですが、年齢でかなり人を見てしまうところがあります。だからこそ、先輩にため口はなかなか使わないし、後輩はどんなに仲良くなっても僕の中では後輩です。しかもLuuに関しては、大学で学んでいる内容が同じであることあって、余計に後輩感があります。でも、Luuはそれを壊してくるくらい後輩らしくない。本当に素敵な子です。YPJで仕事ができるのもそうだし、一緒にいてあんまり年齢を意識しない数少ない人です。
もちろん、年相応の「らしさ」みたいのも感じます。そのバランスがLuuの良さかもしれないですね！僕はLuuの、大人っぽい部分も、仕事ができる部分も、無邪気な部分も、どれも素敵で大好きです♡
