Robert Musil wurde 1880 in Klagenfurt geboren und natürlich erinnert Klagenfurt durch das Musil Haus mit einem Musil-Literaturmuseum an den Dichter. Dass Musil aber auch biografische Verbindungen zu Oberösterreich hatte, ist weniger bekannt. Das im Titel der Ausstellung genannte Landsturmbezirkskommando Linz nimmt Bezug auf sein Einrücken in Linz am 20.August 1914 als Kriegsfreiwilliger.
