ఆ సాయంత్రం ఏడుగంటలకు వివేకానంద ఆహ్వానం మీద అతని క్వార్టరుకు అమృత పెద్దతండ్రులు ఇరువురూ, వారి సతీమణులు, వెంకటేశ్వర్లు వారి సతీమణి, త్రివిక్రం ఏడున్నరకు వచ్చారు.
ఝాన్సీ ఆమె తల్లి అలివేలు వారికంటే ముందుగా ఆరుగంటల కల్లా వివేక క్వార్టర్ కు వచ్చారు. వారు వచ్చిన అరగంటలో అమృత విజయ్ లు కలసి వచ్చారు.
అందరినీ వివేక్, ఝాన్సీలు స్వాగతం పలికారు. వివేక్ అందరికీ ఝాన్సీని, ఆమె తల్లిగారినీ పరిచయం చేశాడు. ఝాన్సీ తనకు కాబోయే అర్ధాంగి అని అందరికీ చెప్పాడు.
అందరికీ ఆశ్చర్యం కలిగే రీతిలో అమృత.. విజయ్ తనూ ప్రేమించుకొన్నామని మాకు పెద్దలు వివాహం జరిపించాలని నిర్భయంగా తెలియజేసింది.
వెంకటేశ్వర్లుగారు నవ్వుతూ వారి కుటుంబానికి వివేకానంద కుటుంబానికి ఉన్న బాంధవ్యాన్ని వివరించాడు. తను త్వరలో వెళ్ళి, వరసకు అక్క అయిన భువనేశ్వరిని కలవబోతున్నానని, విజయ్ కు అమృతను చేసుకోవలసిందిగా కోరబోతున్నానని తెలియజేశాడు.
తనకు, వివేకానంద కుటుంబానికీ ఉన్న బాంధవ్యాన్ని తెలిసుకొని త్రివిక్రం ఎంతగానో సంతోషించాడు. అందరూ పరస్పర ఛలోక్తులతో విందు భోజనాన్ని ఆరగించారు. అనంతరం సగౌరవంగా అందరికీ వీడ్కోలు పలికారు వివేక్, విజయ్ లు.

అమృత తండ్రి వెంకటేశ్వర్లు వాకిట్లో నిలబడి, ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ ఝాన్సీ రాకకు ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు. ఝాన్సీ జీప్ వచ్చింది. ఆమె దిగింది.

బి. డి. ఓ. గా పనిచేస్తున్న అమృతకు యస్. ఐ. వివేకానంద పరిచయమౌతాడు. స్వామి వివేకానంద గురించి అమృత రాసిన పుస్తకం చదవడం పూర్తి చేసాడు అతడు. రాజకీయ నాయకుడు ధనుంజయరావు, ఎస్సై వివేకానందను తన అదుపాజ్ఞలలో పెట్టుకోవా లనుకుంటాడు.
వివేకానంద తండ్రి మృతి సహజం కాదనీ, అందులో వివేకానంద పినతండ్రి ధనుంజయ రావు ప్రమేయం ఉందని చెబుతాడు మేనమామ ఆదిశేషయ్య.
తన బర్త్ డే కి విజయ్ ని ఇన్వైట్ చేస్తుంది అమృత.
ధనుంజయరావు. కొడుకు ఉపేంద్రను హత్యానేరంపై అరెస్ట్ చేస్తాడు వివేకానంద.
ఉపేంద్రకు యావజ్జీవ కారాగార శిక్షను విదిస్తుంది కోర్ట్.
హాస్పిటల్ కోసం కడుతున్న బిల్డింగ్ కూలిపోవడంతో 'ఏఈ' గా పనిచేస్తున్న తన తమ్ముడు విజయానందను, కాంట్రాక్టర్ ధర్మలింగాన్ని అరెస్ట్ చేస్తాడు వివేకానంద.

జైలునుండి విడుదలైన విజయానంద, ధర్మలింగాలను అమృత, వివేకానందలు కలిసి, జోగయ్య బృందం వలన మీకు హాని కలుగకుండా ఉండేదానికి అరస్ట్ చేయవలసి వచ్చిందని, మీరు నిర్దోషులని అసలు నేరస్తులను, జోగయ్యను పట్టుకొన్నామని, వారిచేత నేరాన్ని ఒప్పించామని, వారికి శిక్ష తప్పదని వివరించారు.
ఆ నేరస్థులకు రొండు సంవత్సరాల కారాగార శిక్ష, తలా పాతికవేల జరిమానా జడ్జిమెంటులో వెల్లడయింది. ఆ రాత్రి వివేకానంద తమ్ముడు విజయానందను తన క్వార్టర్ కు రమ్మన్నాడు. విజయ్ వెళ్ళాడు. తమ్ముడిని సాదరంగా లోనికి ఆహ్వానించాడు వివేకానంద.
“విజయ్..! నీకు నా మీద కోపంగా వుండా..!" అతని ముఖంలోకి దీనంగా చూస్తూ అడిగాడు వివేక్.
అన్నగారి కళ్ళల్లో చుట్టుకొంటున్న కన్నీటిని చూచాడు విజయ్. అతని హృదయంలో తన అన్నయ్య పట్ల ఉన్నది గౌరవం, అభిమానం, ప్రేమ. వివేక వాలకాన్ని చూచిన విజయ్ కళ్ళల్లో కన్నీరు…
"అన్నయ్యా..! నీవు నా అన్నయ్యవని చెప్పుకొనే దానికి నాకు గర్వంగా వుందన్నయ్యా..! నాకు నీ మీద కోపమా..! ఇప్పుడే కాదు అసలు ఎప్పటికీ రాదు. కారణం నీ వృత్తిని నీవు ఆరాధిస్తావు. కర్తవ్య నిర్వహణలో నీకు పక్షపాతం అన్నది లేదు. కొందరు ప్రజల్లో ఉన్న స్వార్ధం, ధ్వేషం, మోసం, అవినీతి, అహంకారం, నశించాలంటే నీలాంటి పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ ఈ రాష్ట్రానికి, మన దేశానికి ఎంతో అవసరం. అప్పుడే గుండాలు, రౌడీలు అణగిపోతారు. వారి మనస్తత్వాల్లో సాటి వారికి పడ్డ శిక్ష సింహాస్వప్నం అవుతుంది. ఈ సిద్ధాంతాలు నమ్మి, ఆచరచించే నీవు నాకు అన్నవైనందుకు నాకు గర్వం, ఎంతో సంతోషం అన్నయ్య. ఏ నేరము చేయని నేను, నీవు నన్ను అరెస్ట్ చేసినప్పుడు భయపడలేదు. నిన్ను తలచుకొని ఎంతగానో ఆనందించాను." ఎంతో ఆవేశంతో చెప్పాడు విజయ్.
తమ్మునికి తన పట్ల వున్న నమ్మకానికి, గౌరవానికి వివేకానంద సంతోషించి విజయ్ ను తన హృదయానికి హత్తుకొన్నాడు.

అనంతయ్యగారు, డిఫెన్స్ లాయర్ పీతాంబరంగారు, సాక్షులను కోర్టులో జడ్జిగారి ముందు విచారించారు. జడ్జిగారు కేసును రొండుసార్లు వాయిదా వేసి మూడవమారు, పోలీసులు బలపరిచిన సాక్ష్యాల ఆధారంగా ఉపేంద్రకు యావజ్జీవ కారాగార శిక్షను, మిగతా ఏడుగురికి ఐదేళ్ళ జైలు శిక్షను, విధించినట్లు జడ్జిమెంటు చెప్పారు.
ఈ వార్త విన్న ధనుంజయరావు కుప్పలా కూలిపోయాడు. తను నమ్మిన వారంతా మోసం చేశారని పిచ్చివానిలా గావు కేకలు వేశాడు. ఎంతోకాలంగా వారికి వంత పాడిన మిత్రులు, హితులు ఈ సంఘటనతో 'బ్రతుకు జీవుడా' అని అతనికి దూరమైపోయారు. బ్రతికుంటే బలుసాకు తినైనా బ్రతకవచ్చనే నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చి వారి తత్వాలను మార్చుకున్నారు.
రాజేశ్వరమ్మ కొడుకును తలచుకొంటూ కుమిలి కుమిలి ఏడ్చింది. తన బిడ్డ ఈ స్థితికి కారణం తన భర్తే అని అతన్ని అసహ్యించుకొంది. అతని ముఖం చూడడం మానేసింది. త్రివిక్రం తల్లికి అండగా నిలచి వూరడించి ఓదార్చాడు. ఎక్కువ సమయం ఆమె ప్రక్కనే ఉండి గడిపేవాడు.

వాచ్మెన్ తిరిపాలు, సిటీకి పరుగెత్తి, విషయాన్ని ధనుంజయరావుకు తెలియజేశాడు. ధనుంజయ నిర్ఘాంతపోయాడు. అతనిలో ఆవేశం హద్దులు దాటింది. కోపం, బాధ, అవమానం అతన్ని రాక్షసుడిగా మార్చేశాయి. తన అడ్వకేట్ పీతాంబరంకు ఫోన్ చేసి, వెంటనే బెయిల్ మీద తన కొడుకు జైలు నుండి విడుదలయ్యేలా చేయమని ఆదేశించాడు.
"ఇది రాత్రి సమయం. ఈ రోజు శుక్రవారం. రేపు ఎల్లుండి శని, ఆదివారాలైనందున కోర్టుకు సెలవు. మీరు చెప్పింది నేను సోమవారమే చేయగలను సార్.. " వినయంగా తెలియజేశాడు లాయర్ పీతాంబరం.
విషయాన్ని విన్న రాజేశ్వరి బోరున ఏడుస్తూ.. . "నా మాటలను లెక్క చేయని దానికి ఫలితాన్ని చూచారా.. ! మీ ఇష్టానుసారంగా వాణ్ణి తప్పుడు దారిన నడిపించిన
దానికి ఫలితంగా వాడు జైలుపాలయ్యాడు. వాడు చిన్నవాడు. వాడికేం తెలుసు.. ?, అన్నీ తెలిసిన మీరు ఇలాంటి నీచమైన పనులు వాడి చేత చేయించి వాణ్ణి నాశనం చేశారు.
మీ ఈ పాపాలకు మీరూ ఒకనాడు శిక్ష అనుభవించవలసి వస్తుంది. చేసిన పాపం వూరికే పోదు. ఏదో రూపంలో మనల్ని చుట్టుకొని చంపేస్తుంది” భర్తపట్ల తనకు వున్న కోపం, కసిని, వెళ్ళగక్కి ఏడుస్తూ వెళ్ళిపోయింది రాజేశ్వరి.

“ఓ అన్నా నమస్తే... నమస్తే...”
ధనుంజయరావు వరండాలోకి వచ్చాడు. సారా సాంబయ్య ఎదురైనాడు.
"ఏందిరా..!... సాంబా..! ఇంత పొద్దుకాడ వచ్చినావ్..?”
“పొద్దెక్కితే మీరెటుపోతరో, దొరకరు గదన్నా..!"
"ఏంటి విషయం..?”
“ఆ కొత్తగా వచ్చిన యస్.ఐ. నా సారాయం గళ్ళి లేపేసి నాడన్నా!...”
“విన్నాను.”
“ఏదైనా చెయ్యండన్నా..! ఊరి చివరికి తోసేసినాడు.”
విచారంగా అన్నాడు సాంబయ్య.
ధనుంజయరావు కుర్చీలో కూర్చొని కళ్ళు మూసుకొన్నాడు.
"ఏం అన్నా మాట్టాడవు..?”
"కొంతకాలం ఆగరా చూద్దాం. ఏదో ఒకటి చేద్దాం.” సాలోచనగా చెప్పాడు ధనుంజయరావు.
“సరే అన్నా..! మీరు చూద్దాం అన్నారుగా నాకదే చాలు. వెళ్ళొస్తా అన్నా..!” చేతులు జోడించాడు సాంబయ్య.
“పోయిరా!...”
సాంబయ్య వెళ్ళిపోయాడు. టీపాయ్ పైనున్న పేపర్లమీద ధనుంజయరావుగారి దృష్టి పడింది. స్థానిక పేపర్ ను చేతికి తీసుకొన్నాడు. అందులో అమృత ఫోటో, వివేకానంద, జిల్లా కలెక్టర్, జడ్.పి. ఛైర్మన్ గార్ల ఫోటోలు వున్నాయి. జరిగిన సమావేశాన్ని గురించి, వారి వారి ప్రసంగాలను గురించి వ్రాసి వుంది. అంతా చదివి పేపర్ ను చేతపట్టుకొని ఇంట్లోకి నడిచాడు.
“ఏయ్ రాజా..!” భార్యను పిలిచాడు.
రాజేశ్వరి హాల్లోకి వచ్చింది. ధనుంజయరావు సోఫాలో కూర్చున్నాడు. ఆయనకు దగ్గరగా వచ్చిన రాజేశ్వరి నిలబడింది.
“నీ కోడలి ఫోటో పేపర్లో పడింది చూడు.”
రాజేశ్వరి పేపరును అందుకొని అన్ని ఫోటోలను చూచి కోడలి గురించి వ్రాసిన దాన్ని చదివి..
“ఎప్పుడూ లేంది, ఈ రోజు ఈ పేపర్ను నాకు ఎందుకు
చూపించారు..?”

ఐదు రోజులయింది. వివేకానంద ఆ స్టేషన్ ఛార్జి తీసుకోవాలి. ఆఫీస్ పరిసరాలు పూర్తిగా మారిపోయాయి. అన్నివైపులా శుభ్రం చేయించి, నర్సరీ నుంచి పూలమొక్కలు, టెంకాయ, కానగ, వేపచెట్లను తెప్పించి క్రమంగా నాటించాడు.
తను నిర్ణయించుకొన్నట్లుగానే స్టేషన్లో ఉన్న జాతిపిత గాంధీజీగారి ఫోటో ప్రక్కన, స్వామి వివేకానంద ఫోటోను ఆవిష్కరించాడు. తనకు సంబంధించిన ఇతర అన్ని స్టేషన్స్ లో కూడా, డి.ఐ.జి గారితో మాట్లాడి స్వామి వివేకానంద ఫోటో వుండేలా చేశాడు.
అమృతకు ఫోన్ చేసి మూడు వందల కాపీలను తెప్పించి, స్వామీజీ చరిత్రను అందరికీ పంచాడు. వివేకానంద మాటతీరు, పెద్దా చిన్నా అనే బేధం లేకుండా విచక్షణా భావంతో అందరికీ ఇచ్చే మర్యాద, డిపార్టుమెంటు సభ్యులకందరికీ బాగా నచ్చింది.
రాత్రి సమయంలో ఒంటరిగా నగరం నాలుగు మూలలా సంచరించి ఎక్కడెక్కడ ఏమేమి వున్నదీ తెలుసుకొన్నాడు.
కలెక్టర్ గారిని, జిల్లా పరిషత్ ఛైర్మన్ గారిని కలసికొని వీధుల్లో అడ్డదిడ్డంగా వున్న షాపులను, సంసారగృహాలకు మధ్యన వున్న సారాయి దుకాణాలను, ఏ ప్రాంతానికి మార్చితే బాగుంటుందో సూచించాడు. వారికీ శ్రీవివేకానందస్వామీజీ వారి పుస్తకాన్ని ఇచ్చి, "తీరిక సమయంలో చదవండి సార్" అని కోరాడు.
అతని మృదు మధురభాషణ వారికి నచ్చి జిల్లా కలెక్టర్, జిల్లా పరిషత్ చైర్మన్, ఇతర సభ్యులూ సమావేశమై వివేకానంద సూచనలను అమలు పరిచేదానికి నిర్ణయించుకొన్నారు. కొందరు సభ్యులు వ్యతిరేకించినా, ఆ సూచనల్లో ప్రజాహితం ఉన్నందున, మెజారిటీ ఆమోదం లభించినందున వివేకానంద సూచనలు కార్యరూపం దాల్చాయి.
వివేకానంద కొందరికి గిట్టని వాడైనా ఎందరికో హితుడు, సమాజ శ్రేయోభిలాషి, అన్న భావన కలిగింది. వివేకానంద మరో సమావేశంలో, అమృత తన మండలానికి చేస్తున్న సేవ, ఆమె అద్వితీయ ఆశయాలు, రాష్ట్రంపట్ల, దేశంపట్ల ఆమెకు ఉన్న గౌరవాభిమానాలను గురించి చర్చించాడు.
ఎన్నో వ్యవహారాలతో తీరికలేనివారు కూడా, వివేకానంద మాటలు విని అమృతను కలవాలని నిర్ణయించుకొన్నారు. కలెక్టర్ ఆఫీస్లో కలవవలసినదిగా తేదీని నిర్ణయించి
ఆమెకు సందేశాన్ని పంపారు కలెక్టర్ గారు.
ఈ లోగా ఒక బృందం కలెక్టర్ గారి ఆదేశానుసారంగా అమృత మండలాన్ని వీక్షించి వచ్చి, వారి అభిప్రాయాలను వ్రాసి కలెక్టర్ గారికి అందించారు.

“సార్!” అన్న కోటయ్య పిలుపుతో వివేకానంద ఆలోచనలు ఆగిపోయాయి. ద్వారం వైపు చూచాడు.
"ఏకాంబరం సార్ వచ్చివున్నారు సార్. " చెప్పాడు కోటయ్య.
"రమ్మనండి. ”
ఏకాంబరం సెల్యూట్ చేసి లోనికి వచ్చాడు. వివేకానంద కూర్చోమన్నాడు.
అతను కూర్చొని,
"సార్.. పి. పి. గారు మీతో ఒకసారి మాట్లాడాలన్నారు సార్.. ” అన్నాడు.
“నేను మాట్లాడుతాను. ” పి. పి నెంబర్ను తీసికొని వివేకానంద యింటికి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.
రాత్రి భోజనానంతరం తల్లి భువనేశ్వరి, మామ ఆదిశేషయ్యలు ఫోన్ చేసి అన్నదమ్ముల యోగక్షేమాలు తెలిసికొన్నారు. చివరగా ఆదిశేషయ్య, ధనుంజయరావు వ్యవహారాల్లో జాగ్రత్తగా వర్తించవలసిందిగా హెచ్చరించాడు.
తను ఆ వూరికి రాబోయే ముందు తల్లి, మామయ్య చెప్పిన మాటలు వివేకానంద మనోఫలకం మీద ప్రతిబింబించాయి.
“అమ్మా.. !” హాల్లో సోఫాలో కూర్చొని వున్న తల్లిని పిలిచాడు యస్. ఐ వివేకానంద యింట్లోకి రాగానే.
“ఏం నాన్నా. ” నవ్వుతూ అంది భువనేశ్వరి.
“నాకు ప్రమోషన్ మీద ట్రాన్స్పర్ అయిందమ్మా. ”
"ఏ వూరికి.. ?"
“మన వూరికి. ”
భువనేశ్వరి విచారంగా తలదించుకొంది. తల్లి వాలకం వివేకానందకు ఆశ్చర్యాన్ని కలిగించింది. నవ్వుతూ ఆమె ప్రక్కన కూర్చున్నాడు.
"ఏమ్మా.. ! నీకు సంతోషంగా లేదా.. !"
“ఆ వూరి కాకుండా, వేరే ఏ వూరికైనా మార్పించుకోగలవా.. !”
ఆర్ద్రతతో అతని ముఖంలోకి చూస్తూ అడిగింది భువనేశ్వరి.
"సాధ్యం కాదమ్మా.. ! అవునూ.. అది మన సొంతవూరే కదమ్మా.. !"
ప్రశ్నార్థకంగా తల్లి ముఖంలోకి చూచాడు వివేకానంద.
“సొంత.. !” హా.. హా.. విరక్తిగా నవ్వింది భువనేశ్వరి.

"హాల్లో అందరూ కూర్చోవడానికి అరేంజ్ చేయండి. కోటయ్యగారూ..!" అని చెప్పాడు వివేకానంద.
"అలాగే సార్. పది నిముషాల్లో అయిపోతుంది.” చెప్పి కోటయ్య వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.
వివేకానంద కుర్చీనుంచిలేచి, ఆఫీస్లోని అన్ని గదులను, ఆఫీస్ వెనక వున్న ఖాళీ స్థలాన్ని, ముందున్న పరిసరాలను వీక్షించాడు. గదుల్లో ఫైల్సు క్రమంగా అమర్చి లేవు. వెనక వున్న ఖాళీ స్థలంలో నలిపిపారేసిన కాగితాలు ప్లాస్టిక్ కవర్లు, గడ్డి ఏకంగా వున్నాయి. తనకు ముందున్న పరంధామ్ ఆఫీస్ విషయంలో ఎంత శ్రద్ధ తీసుకొన్నదీ అతనికి అవగాహన అయింది.
వెనుదిరిగి హాల్లోకి వచ్చాడు. అందరూ నిలబడి వున్నాడు. వున్న కుర్చీలు, బెంచీలు హాల్లో చేర్చబడ్డాయి. తను ఒక కుర్చీలో కూర్చుంటూ...
“అందరూ కూర్చోండి.” అన్నాడు వివేకానంద.
అందరూ కూర్చున్నారు. అందరి కళ్ళూ వివేకానంద మీదే. హెడ్ కానిస్టేబుల్, వివేకానంద ప్రక్కగా నిలబడ్డాడు. అతన్ని చూచి, “మీరు కూర్చోండి సార్” అన్నాడు.
వెనక వున్న స్టూలు మీద కోటయ్య కూర్చున్నాడు.
“ఇప్పుడు నేను చెప్పబోయే విషయాలు మీకందరికీ తెలిసినవే. మీలో చాలామంది నాకంటే పెద్దవారు. ముందుగా అందరూ మీ పేర్లను చెప్పండి."
అందరూ వారివారి పేర్లను చెప్పారు.
“చాలా సంతోషం మనమందరం ఇకపై కలసి పని చేయబోతున్నాము. మనమధ్య చక్కటి అవగాహన అవసరం. ఇది మీకు తెలిసిందే. యీ ఆఫీస్ పరిసరాలు ఎలా వున్నాయో చూసారా..! మన చుట్టూ వున్న పరిసరాలను శుభ్రంగా వుంచుకోవడం మన బాధ్యత. మనం పబ్లిక్ సర్వెంట్లం. ఎందరో వస్తూ పోతూ వుంటారు. ఇప్పుడు ఆఫీస్ వెనక వున్న స్థితిని చూచి వాళ్ళు ఏమనుకుంటారో ఆలోచించండి. గదుల్లో ఫైల్సు గందరగోళంగా వున్నాయి. వాటినన్నింటిని క్రమంగా ఏది కావాలన్నా వెంటనే తీసుకొనగలిగేలా అమర్చుకోవడం ఎంతైనా అవసరం.
ఇక డ్యూటీ విషయంలో సమయానికి విలువనివ్వాలి. విధి నిర్వహణలో తనమన బేధాలు వుండకూడదు.
లంచాలను ఆశించకూడదు. నీతికి, న్యాయానికి
కట్టుబడి వుండాలి. జనం మన చర్యలకు సంతోషపడాలి.
పుట్టిన ప్రతి వ్యక్తి ఒకనాడు పైకి పోవలసిందే. మనం పోయినా, మన చుట్టూ వున్న జనం మనలను గురించి మంచిగా చెప్పుకొనే రీతిగా నడచుకోవడం నాకు ఇష్టం.
నా తత్వాన్ని మీకు చెప్పాను. మనమందరం కలసి పనిచేయాలి కాబట్టి. ఇక మీరంతా నాతో సహకరిస్తారని ఆశిస్తున్నాను. ఇక మీరంతా మీ డ్యూటీని అటెండ్ చేయండి. జైహింద్, జై ఆంధ్రా." వివేకానందలేచి తన రూమ్ లోకి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.
వెనకాలే కోటయ్య వచ్చి, టేబుల్ కుడివైపున వున్న ఫైల్సును చూపిస్తూ, “మీరు వాటిని చూచి అవసరం అయితే నన్ను పిలవండి సార్.” వినయంగా చెప్పాడు కోటయ్య.
“అలాగే కోటయ్యగారూ!...”

అనుసరించి తీరాలి." నవ్వుతూ స్వామీజీ.. జవాబు చెప్పేవారు.
ఆ రోజుల్లో వెలువడిన ఎన్ సైక్లోపీడియా బ్రిటానికా, కొత్త కూర్పును స్వామీజీ చదువసాగారు. ఆ పెద్ద గ్రంథాన్ని చూచిన ఒక శిష్యుడు దీన్ని పూర్తిగా చదవడానికి
'ఒక జీవిత కాలమైనా చాలదు' అన్నాడు. ఆ గ్రంధాన్ని శిష్యుని చేతికి యిచ్చి ప్రశ్నలను అడగమన్నారు.
శిష్యుని ప్రశ్నలకు సరియైన సమాధానాలు యివ్వడమేకాక, ఆ సంపుటిలోని భాషనే తు. చ. తప్పకుండా విశదీకరించారు. అస్ఖలిత బ్రహ్మచర్యం పాటించే వారికందరికీ ఇది సాధ్యమే అని స్వామీజీ తెలియజేశారు. శిష్యుడు స్వామీజీ వారి ప్రతిభకు ముగ్ధుడైనాడు.
చివరి రోజుల్లో ఒకనాడు సాయంత్రం స్వామీజీ వారు మఠ ఆవరణలో వున్న మామిడి చెట్టు క్రింద కూర్చొని వుండగా, వారి నుండి అద్భుతమైన ఆధ్యాత్మిక మహాశక్తి వ్యక్తమైంది. నేత్రాలు ఉజ్వల కాంతితో శరీరం దివ్యతేజస్సుతో ప్రకాశిస్తూ వుండగా, తన చుట్టూ చేరియున్న సన్యాసులను, బ్రహ్మచారులను, వుద్దేశించి స్వామీజీ ఇలా చెప్పారు.
"బ్రహ్మాన్ని ఎక్కడ వెదుకుతావు.. ? అతడు ప్రతి జీవిలోనూ అంతర్నిహితుడై వున్నాడు. హృదయభాగాన్ని వత్తమాంగాన్ని చూపుతూ, ఇదిగో యిక్కడే ప్రత్యక్ష బ్రహ్మం వుంది. ఈ ప్రత్యక్ష బ్రహ్మాన్ని విడిచి, మరచి, ఇతరుల కోసం పాకులాడేవారు, హీనులు, కరతలామలకాల మాదిరి ఇదిగో యిక్కడే వుంది. ప్రత్యక్ష బ్రహ్మం. ”
ప్రత్యక్షానుభూతితో కూడుకొన్న స్వామీజీ ఆ పలుకులు అక్కడ గుమికూడి వున్న వారి మనస్సులను తక్షణం వున్నత శిఖరాలకు లేవనెత్తాయి. ధ్యానానుభూత శాంత ఆనందాలతో వారి మనస్సులు తేలిపోతూ వుంటే, నిశ్చేష్టులై కొన్ని క్షణాల వరకూ అందరూ అచేతనంగా నిలబడి పోయారు.
శారీరక రుగ్మతలు స్వామీజీ వారి మానసిక, ఆధ్యాత్మిక, శక్తులను వీసమంతైనా తగ్గించలేకపోయాయి. తాను ఇక ఎక్కువ కాలం జీవించబోనని ఎరిగిన స్వామీజీ క్రమక్రమంగా పనుల భారాన్ని సోదరశిష్యులకు, యితర శిష్యులకు అప్పగించారు.

'ప్రగతి ప్రేమికులు ఎపిసోడ్ 4' తెలుగు ధారావాహిక

దక్షిణేశ్వరంలో పూర్వం గురుదేవుల సన్నిధిలో జగన్మాత అనుభూతిని పొందినట్లు, వారి అక్కడొక దివ్య అనుభూతి కలిగింది. లోకంలో కనిపించే సమస్తమైన బాధ, దుఃఖం, అంధకారంలో వారి మనస్సు లీనమైంది. ఈ దృశ్యమాన అనేక తత్వాలకు వెనుకవుండే ఏకత్వాన్ని వారు యీ విచిత్ర మార్గాన కనుగొన నిశ్చయించుకొన్నారు. ఫలితంగా వారికి 'భీకరకాళీ దర్శనం' అయింది. భావావేశంతో జగన్మాతను గురించి పరవశంతో కవితను వ్రాశారు.
ఆ అనుభూతి వారిని అంతగా ఆవహించింది. కవిత వ్రాయడం పూర్తి కాగానే కలం వారి చేతినుండి జారి క్రింద పడిపోయింది. భావ సమాధి స్థితులైన స్వామీజీ మృతప్రాయులవలె పడిపోయారు.
ఆ తర్వాత శిష్యులతో భీషణ ఆరాధనను గురించి, జగన్మాత ప్రేమ వదనాన్ని చూడ్డాన్ని గురించి, తరచూ మాట్లాడ సాగారు. సెప్టెంబర్ 30వ తేదీన స్వామీజీ ఒంటరిగా ప్రసిద్ధ మాతృదేవాలయమైన 'క్షీరభవాని' కి వెళ్ళారు. అక్కడవారు ఆరు రోజులు కఠోరమైన తపస్సు చేశారు. ప్రతిరోజూ హోమం చేసి, పాలను జగత్ జననికి నివేదించారు. స్వామీజీ స్వభావం యిక్కడ పూర్తిగా మారిపోయింది.
నేత, కార్మికుడు, ఆచార్యుడు మొదలైన భావాలన్నీ వారి ఎరుక నుడి మాయమై పసిబిడ్డగా మారిపోయారు.
ఆరురోజుల తర్వాత శిష్యులు వున్న చోటికి స్వామీజీ తిరిగి వచ్చారు. తన అనుభవాలను వారికి వివరిస్తూ యిలా అన్నారు. నాలోవున్న దేశభక్తి, అభిమానం, పథకలా స్థానంలో, యిప్పుడు నిలచి వున్నది 'అమ్మ.. అమ్మ' మాత్రమే.
ఒకరోజు స్వామీజీ గతంలో నాశనం గావించబడి, శిధిల స్థితిలో వున్న ఆ ఆలయంలో కూర్చొని వారు ఇలా ఆలోచించారు.
"నేను గనక అప్పుడు వుండివుంటే, నా రక్తాన్ని ధారపోసి యీ ఆలయాన్ని పరిరక్షించే వాణ్ణికదా.. !” అన్న భావన వారి మదిలో కలిగింది. మరుక్షణంలో వారికి గంభీరమైన 'జగన్మాత' మాటలు వినిపించాయి.
'నాస్తికులు నా ఆలయంలో ప్రవేశించి, నా విగ్రహాన్ని పగులగొట్టితే ఏం..? నన్ను రక్షించేది నువ్వా..?, నిన్ను రక్షించేది నేనా..? నాకు యిష్టమైతే కావలసినన్ని మఠాలు, ఆలయాలు కల్పించుకోలేనా..?, అవసరమైతే యీ క్షణంలోనే యిక్కడ ఏడంతస్థుల బంగారు భవనాన్ని లేవదియ్యగలను’.
యీ తల్లి మాటలతో స్వామీజీ హృదయం పులకించింది. వారి మదినిండా ఆ మాతృమూర్తి నిండిపోయింది. అక్టోబర్ 18వ తేదీన అందరితో కలసి కలకత్తాకు స్వామీజీ తిరిగి వచ్చారు. విపరీతమైన చలి, పర్వత ప్రాంత సంచారపు అలసట, చిత్రమైన అనుభవాలు, అనుభూతులు, కారణంగా వారి గుండె వ్యాకోచించింది.
ఉబ్బసం కూడా వారిని బాధించసాగింది. యీ యాత్రతో వారి మనోభావం పూర్తిగా మారిపోయింది. ఆ స్థితిలో స్వామీజీ, శిష్యులకు యిలా తెలియజేశారు.
'ప్రస్తుతం నేను భక్తితో నిండిపోయాను. వయస్సు మళ్ళే కొద్ది జ్ఞానం స్థానాన్ని, భక్తిభావం ఆక్రమిస్తోంది.’
మఠ ప్రతిష్టాపన బేలూరులో జరిగిన తర్వాత కొన్ని నెలలు స్వామీజీవారు సన్యాస శిష్యులకు శిక్షణ జరపటంతో కాలం గడిపారు. ఆ రోజుల్లోనే ఆరోగ్య రక్షణకు వైద్యనాధ్ వెళ్ళి వచ్చారు. తాము ప్రాంభించిన కార్యక్రమాలు పాశ్చాత్యాన ఎలా కొనసాగుతున్నాయో చూచి రావాలనే సంకల్పంతో 1898 సం॥ డిసెంబర్లో పాశ్చాత్య పయనాన్ని గురించి వెల్లడి చేశారు. 1899 సం॥ జూన్ 20వ తేదీన తురీయానందస్వామి, సోదరి నివేదితతో స్వామీజీ రెండవసారి పాశ్చాత్యానికి
ప్రయాణమయ్యారు.

మంచిని మంచిగా చూచి, గౌరవించి, అభిమానించి, ఆచరించడం అనేది ఆ భగవత్ ప్రసాదిత మహోన్నతవరం. ఏ కొందరికో యిది సాధ్యమౌతుంది. లభ్యపడుతుంది. దాన్నే మన హైందవత, పురాకృత సుకృతం అంటుంది.
యీ తత్వానికి వ్యతిరేకం అన్ని కాలాల్లో, అన్ని దేశాల్లోనూ వుంది. ఆ రోజుల్లో అమెరికాలో, శ్రీ వివేకానందస్వాముల వారి ప్రవచనాలతో, హిందూ మత విశ్లేషతను గ్రహించిన కొందరు, ఆ మహనీయుడు పుట్టిన భారతదేశానికి తమ మత ప్రచారకులను పంపించడం అవసరమా..?, అనే ప్రశ్నను మత సభ్యులు, మత ప్రచారం పేరిట అమెరికన్ల నుండి డబ్బు గుంజుకోవడటం యికపై అసాధ్యమౌతుందని భావించి స్వామీజీని ద్వేషించారు. దూషించారు.
వారికి మనదేశపు దివ్య జ్ఞాన సమాజస్థులు, బ్రహ్మ సమాజనేత ప్రతాప చంద్రమజుందారు, వారి బృందం స్వామీజీ నిజమైన సన్యాసి కాదనీ, హిందూ మతంలోని ఏ సాంప్రదాయానికీ వారు ప్రతినిధి కాదనీ, దుశ్శీలుడనీ, అమెరికన్ గృహస్థులెవరూ, స్వామీజీని తమ యిండ్లకు ఆహ్వానించడం ప్రమాదమని హెచ్చరికలు చేశారు.
కానీ…! ఆమెరికాలోని స్వామీజీ మిత్రులు వారి పవిత్ర శీలాన్ని గురించి, సత్కర్మానుష్టానాన్ని గురించి, సత్య బద్ధమైన ప్రవచనాలను గురించి, ప్రత్యక్షంగా చూచిన వారైనందున యీ విమర్శలనన్నింటినీ ఖండిస్తూ జవాబులు యిస్తూ స్వామీజీ వారికి అండగా నిలిచారు.

జరిగిన కథ..
బి. డి. ఓ. గా పనిచేస్తున్న అమృతకు వివేకానంద అనే వ్యక్తి పరిచయమౌతాడు.
స్వామి వివేకానంద గురించి అమృత రాసిన పుస్తకం చదవడం ప్రారంభిస్తాడు అతడు.
ఇక ప్రగతి ప్రేమికులు ఎపిసోడ్ 2 చదవండి..
విశ్వవిఖ్యాత భారతీయుడు శ్రీ వివేకానంద స్వామీజీ మన జాతి ఔన్నత్యాన్ని జగతి నలుదిశలా తెలియజేయుటకు జన్మించారు. ఆ మహాపురుషుని జననం 1863వ సంవత్సరం జనవరి 12వ తేది. తల్లిదండ్రులు భువనేశ్వరీ దేవి, విశ్వనాథుడు.
చాలాకాలం పుత్ర సంతానం లేని ఆ తల్లి, కాశీ విశ్వేశ్వరుని దీక్షగా పూజింపగా, ఆ మహనీయుడు జన్మించారు. ఆ పుణ్య దంపతులు వారికి నరేంద్రుడు అని పేరు పెట్టారు.
వారి జననం మన భారతావనిలో జరగకున్నా, వారు శ్రీ రామకృష్ణ పరమహంసతో 1881వ సం॥ నవంబర్ నెలలో దక్షిణేశ్వరంలో కలియక వున్నా, వారు బ్రహ్మచర్య పరిపాలన చేయకవున్నా, 1893 సం॥ సెప్టెంబర్ 11వ తేదీ నుండి 27వ తేదీ వరకూ చికాగో నగరంలో జరిగిన విశ్వమత మహాసభలో పాల్గొనకన వున్నా, యీ మన పవిత్ర భారతావనిలో మనదైన హైందవతా స్థానం, యితర దేశాలలో యీనాడు వున్న గుర్తింపు, గౌరవం, ప్రతిష్ట వేరే రీతిగా వుండేది.
యీ దేశ ప్రజలు ఆ మహాపురుషుణ్ణి, ఆ చరిత్ర నాయకుడిని ముఖ్యంగా మన యువత మరువకూడదు. దేశంలోని అన్ని పాఠశాలలో, కాలేజీలలో, కార్యాలయంలో వారి వర్ణ చిత్రపటాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించి తీరాలి. వారిని హైందవ, అధ్వయిత పితామహగా, గౌరవించాలి. వారి చిత్తరవు ముందు చేతులు జోడించాలి. పాశ్చాత్యులు ఆశ్చపోయే రీతిగా, శిష్యులుగా మారే రీతిగా, మన హైందవతను గురించి, అధ్వయితాన్ని గురించి, ఆ కారణ జన్ముడు, యుగ పురుషుడు, విశ్వమత మహాసభలో చేసిన సుప్రసంగం అనితర సాధ్యం. యావత్ ప్రపంచానికీ హైందవ ఔన్నత్యాన్ని వారు విశదీకరించిన రీతి, మన జాతికి తరతరాలకు గర్వకారణం.
నరేంద్ర నామధేయంతో, బాల్యంలో ఏకసంతాగ్రాహిగా పేరు గాంచి, ఆటపాటలతో ధార్మిక చింతనలతో అందరినీ అలరించిన స్వామి, యువకుడై కలకత్తా ప్రసిడెన్సీ కళాశాలలో, మొదటి పర్యాయం శ్రీరామకృష్ణులవారి పేరును నరేంద్రుడు, తన కళాశాల అధ్యక్షుడైన విలియం హేస్టీ నుండి విన్నారు. తర్వాత కొద్ది రోజులలోనే సురేంద్రనాథ మిత్ర అనే ఒక భక్తుని యింట జరిగిన మతోత్సవంలో తొలిసారి నరేంద్రుడు శ్రీరామకృష్ణ పరమహంస గురుదేవులను దర్శించారు.
ఆ ఉత్సవంలో నరేంద్రుడు పాడిన పాటలను విని శ్రీరామకృష్ణులు అతన్ని సమీపించి, దక్షిణేశ్వరానికి రమ్మని ఆహ్వానించారు.
1881వ సం॥ నవంబర్లో సురేంద్రనాథమిత్రతో కలసి నరేంద్రుడు మొదటిసారిగా దక్షిణేశ్వరానికి వెళ్ళి గురుదేవులను దర్శించారు.
ఆ ద్వితీయ సంగమంలోనే శ్రీరామకృష్ణులు నరేంద్రుని చేయి పట్టుకొని, వసారా గదిలోనికి తీసుకొని వెళ్ళి, చిరపరిచితుని వలే "ఇంత ఆలస్యంగా రావడం నీకు న్యాయమా.. ? నీ నిమిత్తం నేనెంతగా నిరీక్షిస్తూ వున్నానో ఒక్కమారైనా నీవు ఆలోచించావా.. ? తుచ్ఛమైన ప్రాపంచిక విషయాలను విని విని నా చెవులు, చిల్లులు పడ్డాయే.. ! నా అంతరంగ భావాలను ఎవరితో చెప్పుకొని పాలు పంచుకోవాలో తెలియక నా హృదయం పగిలిపోయే స్థితికి వచ్చింది."

చతుర్వేదుల చెంచు సుబ్బయ్య శర్మ
"ఈశ్వర్..! బయలుదేరుదాం." జీప్ లో కూర్చుంటు అంది బి.డి.ఓ. అమృత.
ఈశ్వర్ తన స్థానంలో కూర్చొని జీప్ ను స్టార్ట్ చేశాడు. "ఆ పుస్తకాలను అన్ని స్కూళ్ళల్లో పిల్లలకు పంచండి. అందరూ తప్పక చదవాలి.” నవ్వుతు చెప్పింది అమృత.
మండల సమావేశానికి వచ్చి, ఆమె జీప్ చుట్టూ వున్న వారంతా తలలు ఆడించారు. అందరికి బై చెప్పింది అమృత. జీప్ మండల కార్యాలయ ప్రాంతాన్నిదాటి రోడ్డులో ప్రవేశించింది.
ఇరవై నిముషాల తర్వాత జీప్ హైవే పైకి వచ్చేసింది.
సమయం సాయంత్రం ఆరుగంటల ప్రాంతం. వారు చేరవలసిన గమ్యానికి ముక్కాలు గంట పడుతుంది. మేఘావృతంగా ఉన్న ఆకాశం నుండి సన్నటి తూర ప్రారంభమయింది. ఈశ్వర్ రోడ్డు ప్రక్కన ఆగి ఉన్న ఒక కారును దాటి ముందుకు వెళ్ళాడు. ఆ కారు బ్యానెట్ తెరిచి వుంది. డ్రైవర్ వంగి యంత్రాన్ని పరిక్షిస్తూ ఉన్నాడు.
ప్రక్కన ఒక యువకుడు నిలబడి ఆకాశానికేసి చూస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. వాన వేగం హెచ్చింది.
బహుశా... ఆ కారులో ఏదో ప్రాబ్లం అయ్యి వుండవచ్చు. సాయం కావాలా అని అడగటం ధర్మంగా భావించింది అమృత. కారును వెనక్కు త్రిప్పమని ప్రక్కనే ఉన్న ఈశ్వర్ తో చెప్పింది అమృత. రెండు వైపులా చూచుకొని ఈశ్వర్ బండిని రివర్స్ లో వెనక్కు నడిపాడు. జీప్ కారును సమీపించింది. అమృత జీప్ దిగి ఆ కారును సమీపించింది.
ఆ యువకుడు దగ్గరగా వచ్చిన ఆమెను చూచాడు.
“సార్… కెన్ ఐ హెల్ప్ యు..?” వందనంగా అడిగింది అమృత.
“యింజన్లో ప్రాబ్లమండి. మీరేం సహాయం చేయగలరు..?” నవ్వుతూ అన్నాడు వివేకానంద.
"మీరు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్ళాలి..?”
"కడప."
మీకు అభ్యంతరం లేకపోతే మీరు నాతో మా జీప్ లో రావచ్చు. మా డ్రైవర్ కు తెలిసిన మంచి మెకానిక్ వున్నాడు. మనం దిగిపోయి వారిరువురినీ యిక్కడికి పంపుదాం. ఆ మెకానిక్ మీ బండిని బాగు చేయగలడు.” తను చెప్పదలచుకొన్న విషయాన్ని స్పష్టంగా చెప్పింది అమృత.
ఆమె తత్వానికి, మాటలకు వివేకానంద సంతోషించాడు.
