The Labour of Love with Audrey Lin
After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, Audrey went from working for a Silicon Valley start-up for 6 months to spending 6 months at a Buddhist Monastery. She then worked as an educator and is now a volunteer with ServiceSpace, which is an incubator that leverages technology to inspire generosity and volunteerism, particularly nurturing labour of love projects. From the Streets of Mumbai to Becoming a Professional Dancer with Shirish Vanwesemael
Shirish was abandoned as a baby on the streets of Mumbai and then adopted by a couple from Belgium. His journey to becoming a professional dancer is an unconventional one seen as he only went for his first dance class in his 20's, which then took him to Amsterdam, back to Mumbai and now currently Ahmedabad, where he teaches dance to underprivileged children. As well as talking about his incredible journey and his work, we also spoke about how dance allowed him to express himself, living in the present, letting go, being fearless and even Einstein!
