🤩🤩กระทรวงการคลังสหรัฐฯ ออกคำแถลงคว่ำบาตรนาย อ่อง ปแย โซน (Aung Pyae Sone) และ น.ส. ขิ่น ธิรี เธต โมน (Khin Thiri Thet Mon) บุตรวัยผู้ใหญ่ 2 คนของผู้นำทหารพม่า และยังคว่ำบาตรบริษัทอีก 6 แห่ง ซึ่งหนึ่งในนั้นคือ A&M Mahar ของ อ่อง ปแย โซน ซึ่งกลุ่มนักเคลื่อนไหว Justice for Myanmar ระบุว่ามีการเอื้อประโยชน์ให้บริษัทเวชภัณฑ์ต่างชาติสามารถขอใบอนุญาตเพื่อเข้าถึงตลาดยาในพม่า
🤩🤩แอนโทนี บลิงเคน รัฐมนตรีกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสหรัฐฯ ยังขู่สำทับว่าอาจจะมีบทลงโทษเพิ่มเติมอีก พร้อมทั้งประณามเรื่องที่พม่าจับกุมผู้เห็นต่างกว่า 1,700 คน ตลอดจนการใช้กำลังต่อผู้ชุมนุมที่ปราศจากอาวุธ จนเป็นเหตุให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตแล้วอย่างน้อย 53 คน นับตั้งเกิดการรัฐประหารยึดอำนาจเมื่อวันที่ 1 ก.พ.64

🤩🤩กลุ่ม Justice for Myanmar แถลงเมื่อเดือน ม.ค. ว่า นายพล มิน อ่อง หล่าย ซึ่งเป็นผู้บัญชาการทหารสูงสุดพม่ามาตั้งแต่ปี 2011 “ใช้อำนาจโดยมิชอบกอบโกยผลประโยชน์เข้าครอบครัวตัวเอง โดยอาศัยความมีอภิสิทธิ์เข้าถึงทรัพยากรต่างๆ ของรัฐ และวัฒนธรรมการลอยนวลพ้นผิด (impunity) ของกองทัพ”
🤩🤩จอห์น ซิฟตัน ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายสนับสนุนเอเชียของฮิวแมนไรต์วอตช์ ออกมาชื่นชมบทลงโทษล่าสุดของกระทรวงการคลังสหรัฐฯ ที่พุ่งเป้าไปยังทรัพย์สินของ มิน อ่อง หล่าย โดยตรง แต่ขณะเดียวกันก็เรียกร้องให้สหรัฐฯ ใช้มาตรการที่เด็ดขาดยิ่งกว่านี้

🤩🤩จนถึงขณะนี้ สหรัฐฯ ยังไม่ได้มีบทลงโทษต่อ Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC) Myanmar และ Economic Holdings Limited (MEHL) สององค์กรธุรกิจขนาดใหญ่ซึ่งอยู่ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของกองทัพพม่า และมีอิทธิพลครอบงำระบบเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ
