Shida Stories 師大的故事5.【再會，陳姐；再會，師大裡的諾丁丘 Farewell Ms. Chen, Farewell Notting Hill】(中文/Mandarin)【Shida Stories 師大的故事系列用音訊紀錄片（audio documentary）、音訊散文（audio essay）、多語言、多口音等形式，刻畫、印象化師大周邊的人物與場景。由蔡如音Eva Tsai製作、錄音、剪輯。】我的衣櫥裡有一半的衣服是在師大的個性小店買的，特別是有大人味、正式風，卻又帶點個性的服飾。以現在的消費型態，蓬勃發展的網路、社群購物模式，或許有點令人難以理解。師大怎麼會在跟服飾店扯上關係。但曾經有一陣子，師大附近的小巷子內，是挖寶的好地方。2010年前，大約有七年，我非常的幸運過著走路上班的日子；那時師大裡的巷子還沒有櫛比鱗次的服飾與餐廳店家，倒是有零星的個人小舖，混合著通常是（年輕女老闆）「嚴選」日本、香港、跟台灣本地手工設計的小物，下班時，在巷弄裡挖寶成了一個抒壓的樂趣。陳姐的店我很早就注意到，在泰順街40巷，是師大夜市裡一個相對熱鬧的巷弄，店名很倫敦，叫「Notting Hill」，深藍的招牌底色，明顯呼應著英國倫敦西區有名的諾丁丘市街景色，應該是同名好萊塢愛情電影Notting Hill的效應，台灣翻做《新娘百分百》。有意思的是，雖然店名很英國，展示櫥窗玻璃上，則貼著「東京商品」四個字；陳姐的店的正對面是一家叫「布拉格」的手沖咖啡，紅磚古典庭院裡有一顆茂盛，固定開著俗稱雞蛋花的緬梔樹，樹下停著一台蒂芬妮藍的英國小車MINI Cooper，裝飾用的。同一條巷弄，還有一家叫雅買加倉庫的簡餐店，跟一間頹廢文藝氣息的Cafe Bastille（巴士底咖啡），想起來，那時「文青」兩字的文化經濟威力，才正蠢蠢欲爆發。進到陳姐約15坪大的店裡，展示衣架與商品櫃分佈在各角落，走到底，牆上有一區時尚穿搭剪貼，通常是歐洲服裝秀的雜誌照片。陳姐年約50，短髮不上妝、身形嬌小，穿搭休閒，總是低調的在折疊，或是排列商品，她不怎麼招呼客人，加上衣服的價格普遍比其他師大的小店貴，總覺得有些傲氣與距離，跟其他迅速與客人熱絡的服飾店不一樣，好幾年下來，我都只是看看，沒有試穿，也沒有消費。師大夜市，在2011年底開始急速擴張，新的服飾店、餐廳往住宅巷弄裡竄，晚上人聲鼎沸，本地遊客、國際旅客、新興頭家，好不熱鬧。當時許多服飾店標榜著「韓風」、「正韓」的裝飾商品，原本以日常、次文化著稱的師大夜市，竟「潮」了起來，與新的消費文化符號發生關係。在地居民有各種聲音與行動，不可否認，師大夜市與巷弄的文化氣味正在發生改變。當時，我開展了一個研究計畫，想瞭解遽增的韓風服飾業者，他們是誰？如何做起了韓風商品的買賣，又怎麼選擇在師大開店，原本在師大的服飾業者，又怎麼看待這個發展。我開始在師大附近做起了觀察與田調。就是這一個不單純的動機，讓我跟陳姐終於有了互動。沒有以前太過安靜的尷尬，我混在年輕的學生與下班的上班族裡，跟她閒聊著怎麼看師大夜市的改變，特別是韓風服飾店，她難得的用細細的聲音，高分貝抱怨，「都700家拉！」陳姐略帶輕蔑的談著韓國服飾。她的店主打「東京商品」，每幾個月就前往東京大阪帶貨，對於日本服飾的品質，讚譽有加，連Gap這種全球國際品牌在東京的商品，都與其他的地方的品質不同。她拿起一件韓國的針織衫，說他們的「針數」，因為快時尚的生產模式，都減到最低。聊材質、聊版型，陳姐是實踐服裝設計系畢業，年輕時，曾替（台商）成衣廠做設計，每次飛中國，就有100多樣商品等著她驗收。在她眼裡，打版師傅才是這個產業最厲害的，「設計師」聽起來雖然光鮮，多數沒有能力將一塊布變成一件衣服。為何一位服裝設計專業出身的陳姐，會淪落到出國帶貨？講「淪落」，可能言重了。委託行、貨運行還是跑單幫在台灣的歷史很久，特別是在國際旅遊還沒有開放或發達的解嚴前後。提供小資創業模式，並且活化了在地的消費與眼界。在全球化的時代，新世代更是找到了各種結合旅遊、移地、跨地的新型態工作模式。職業無貴賤之分，只是陳姐的專業，應該原本不是用在帶貨。選擇的轉換，跟她必須扛起單親撫養兩個孩子有很大的關係。2000年初，陳姐開了Notting Hill，每幾個月固定去日本帶貨，偶爾也會去香港跟首爾，她會用簡訊通知老客戶她的出國行程。好幾次，我的確看到她的一些老客戶悠哉的在店裡試穿衣服、話家常。「慢慢玩」，陳姐說。衣服要試穿，才會瞭解自己跟發現自己適合什麼。聽多了，我也放下研究者的顧慮。記得第一次在陳姐的店入手的衣服，是一件綠格絨布的厚棉襯衫，木村拓哉fu，中性帥氣，版型修長有腰身，很合我意，唯一的問題是，胸圍太窄，扣起來會有個尷尬的空間。陳姐幫我縫上按釦，解決了問題。師大夜市巷弄裡的泡沫商機，讓許多房東順理成章提高租金，甚至是將原有空間隔成兩間，承租給兩個店家，擴大利益。陳姐的店對面的咖啡店布拉格，跟她們的Mini Cooper最先離開，房東收回物件，在原有古典風味的空間開了快速時尚的韓風服飾店。庭院裡的雞蛋花樹依舊，空氣中流動的成了K-pop的節奏。過了不久，師大居民抗爭商圈的擴張，新的店家離開了，舊的店家因為翻倍的租金不在。陳姐的店，Notting Hill，也就這樣關門。一開始，陳姐搬到永康街裡一個公寓五樓，開始了無店面、工作室與住家合併的生活型態。公寓外表頗有小豪宅的華麗，但因為兩個高中大學的小孩也同住，陳姐的工作室空間，只剩下還需放下一張床的小客廳，與其說是商品的展示空間，還不如說是儲放空間。一年後，陳姐搬到了台大溫州街的老公寓三樓，那裡空間稍大，進門處還有一個布簾，可做試穿室，鏡子、衣服的擺放也比較沒那麼擠。我那時生完老二，請了育嬰假，想放風時就會來找陳姐。幾年前的研究早已結束。現在的狀態與疑惑，是個人的；不免俗，是當身體與心境因為為人母，都進入液態、流動狀態時，如何能自信舒服的穿搭。陳姐總是鼓勵我慢慢的玩，反正試穿看看不會怎樣。談到衣服、品牌、版型、流行款式，陳姐總是很能投入，對於我的個人意見，包括帶領襯衫的執著，跟針織衫的偏見，對雪紡紗的痛恨，她多半都是聆聽，再透過一些品項的推薦試穿，讓我去感覺能勝任的穿搭。有衣服的問題，我也會直接問她，即使不是從她這裡購入的衣服。有一回，我請她幫我看一件我的白色短版羽絨衣，最上面的銀色大釦子脫落了，她一看，說這是很特殊的按釦，恐怕難以找到一模一樣的。因為是最上面，接近胸口上方的釦子，在冷天裡扮演重要的「門戶」角色，我還是請她幫我補救，她說，若無法找到一樣或接近的釦子，還不如撞色，在她的鈕釦盒裡找了顆黑色的，一樣大小的釦子，幫我縫上。有一次，我提到自己有一條非常愛的法國牌子的長裙，這條藍色單寧超長裙有日本禪風的圖樣，低調又有氣場，圖樣、剪裁與腰身皮帶皆經過縝密計算裁縫，我自一家目前已不存在的百貨公司購入，超過十年，卻因為腰帶太寬，皮帶洞數不夠，總是擺著欣賞，而無法真正放手去穿。老實說，這是挑身高的長裙，我曾經拿給多位裁縫師，尋求修改妙方，但多半因為要破壞剪裁而作罷。陳姐端詳了一番，說需要打洞機，但在沒有打洞機跟墊片工具零件的情況下，她說還是可以打新的洞，然後用縫的方式收邊，並且在保留圖案完整性的前提下，幫我修改腰身。過往我穿衣隨性休閒，加上在大學任教，沒有服裝壓力，忠於個人喜好就行。隨著年歲的增長，社會化的洗禮，我開始想要做有正式大人感，卻又不失個性的穿搭。我逐漸在陳姐嚴選的衣物中，找到這樣的搭配，若要找款式，也會敲她，請她帶貨時幫我注意一下。每隔幾個月去陳姐的小公寓時，頗像擁有頂級私人購物專家personal shopper的感受。每回，我大概會帶回三到四件衣服，我花的金額，大概8000-1萬出頭。我不是什麼大戶，而且陳姐店裡帶回的衣服，品質好又耐穿。我也會擔心，靠熟客做生意，在網路與社群媒體時代，陳姐能撐下去嗎？陳姐何時還會有店鋪嗎？離開師大後，她沒有再經營實體店面，曾經有一個月，彷彿曇花一現，陳姐的工作室「又落地了」，她跟朋友借了一個店面空間，在新生南路跟信義路的大馬路上。陳姐的煩惱應該還不少，但她似乎也還沒放棄再回到「地面」。2019年，陳姐稍來消息，說工作室有了新的地點，靠近捷運東門站。我很快的找了時間去瞧瞧，地點在連雲公園旁，跟當年在師大的店環境有些類似，是安靜的巷弄。店面舒適、寬敞，陳姐也還忙著整理。有別的熟客在，我自己逛自己的，很期待這個空間，也替陳姐開心。也帶了兩件衣服回家。不久過後，陳姐在LINE上傳訊息，工作室暫時休息，專心抗癌。今年年初，她的女兒透過陳姐的LINE帳號說，媽媽走了。我感念與陳姐無壓力的互動，彼此交換著教養小孩與生命的困境。對衣物的鑽研與熱愛似乎可以讓我們精神為之一振。現在我衣櫃裡支撐著我的工作日常，身上穿的舒適體面衣服，都是陳姐嚴選的。帶貨、穿搭，修改，根本就是一條龍的服務。再會，陳姐。再見，師大裡的諾丁丘。2022-02-2012 min
