此外，上一集提到，就在星期一的時候，漸凍人協會與PMC精機中心，針對共同開發的科技輔具設備「EOG眼控型溝通輔具」，共同舉行了捐贈記者會，這套設備，是運用科技方法，幫助身心障礙者溝通零障礙，漸凍人與其他重度身心障礙者，只要眼睛眨一眨，就能夠把心裡的呼叫傳達給家人，讓溝通與請求精準傳達。
這套新開發的「EOG眼控型溝通輔具」，是用來協助弱勢病友發聲的設施，使患者能透過眨眼的次數即可表達自身需求。
因為漸凍人，不論照護人力、或輔具耗材的開支，都相當可觀，考驗一個家庭的經濟能力，即使將患者送到專業照護機構，患者的照護品質通常是病患家屬最擔心的問題，透過PMC開發的 「 EOG眼控型溝通輔具」，便能將患者的需求傳達給照護者與遠端家屬同步接收後，做適當的處理，並發出訊號，協助漸凍人患者改善生活品質，降低疾病對家庭造成的衝擊。
星期一上午，PMC由總經理賴永祥先生代表，捐贈10組設備，給我們漸凍人協會，並由本會常務監事游淑華女士受贈，游淑華女士，也是本屆好人好事八德獎得主，這是一份至高的榮譽與肯定。因為游淑華女士的大力牽成，才有今天這樣美好的合作機會。
另外，我們資深病友，陳銀雪博士，在漫長的測試期間，全程參與並協助系統測試，提供最直效的資訊和反饋。
現場也有許多PMC的員工參與整場記者會，許多人也因為陳銀雪博士，堅毅與對於生命的熱愛與奮鬥，而深受感動，老羊私下還收到其中幾位員工的私訊，除了說出感動外，更有人發願，希望成為我們協會的志工，希望可以持續幫忙協會，做些事情，這也是讓老羊非常開心，這代表我們漸凍人，雖然身體受限制了，但是我們的智慧和熱心，從來都不比一般人來的還少；相對的，我們更積極地投身奉獻，取之於社會，也用之於社會，這一點，我相信在這場記者會中，大家都看到了，也感受到了。

明天就是11月1號，在這邊，老羊以最誠摯、最渴求、最盼望的心情，邀請各位朋友，參加我們台新網路投票活動，給予我們協會更多的實質上的支持：
這次由台新銀行公益慈善基金會等公益團體，共同主辦的第13屆「您的一票，決定愛的力量」，漸凍人協會通過的提案審核，也將角逐25萬補助金的候選名單。
這次共有六大領域九大族群，補助公益基金金總金額，高達1,775萬元。
台新銀行公益慈善基金會，聯合王月蘭慈善基金會、台北艋舺龍山寺、研華文教基金會、中華電信基金會、台灣尤努斯基金會、中華民國老人福祉協會、國立中央大學公益傳播中心及社會企業等，共同舉辦「您的一票，決定愛的力量」邁入第13年，今年以「認真，讓愛永續」為活動主軸，響應聯合國SDGs永續發展目標，善盡企業社會責任，帶領非營利組織注重環境趨勢和機構治理。
今年網站提案項目中，首度要求提案單位需符合聯合國17項SDGs永續項目，我們協會自然也是符合需求的，我們期盼透過推廣，帶動社福團體積極了解社會趨勢，更便於與企業或政府爭取資源，接軌聯合國SDGs永續目標，與環境共生，與弱勢共好。
「您的一票，決定愛的力量」，13年來累計捐助逾2.8億元公益基金，去年考量中小型社福團體受疫情影響，募款雪上加霜，除公告94個名額，加碼增額錄取104個獎額，社會福利領域10萬元組共102家團體，除依票數排行公告40個名額，其餘全數獲補助，以鼓勵更多小型社福團體勇於向大眾發聲說出需求。
這項活動含括領域非常廣泛，其中，復能自立領域提供20萬元公益基金，文化教育、數位學習及社會企業領域均提供15萬元公益基金，公益傳播領域公益基金2萬元針對18歲至35歲青年學生族群，提案為社福團體拍攝影片。
往年，依照提案數目，以社會福利領域競爭最激烈，獎項分為10萬元、25萬元及50萬元組，社企針對社會福利領域提案提供「創新服務」加碼獎，漸凍人協會就是在社會福利領域裡的25萬提案候選！

在經濟部技術處科技專案支持下，PMC精機中心開發「EOG眼控型溝通輔具」，運用科技的方法幫助身心障礙者溝通零障礙！漸凍人與其他重度身心障礙者，只要眼睛眨一眨，就能夠把心裡的呼叫傳達給家人，讓溝通與請求精準傳達。
由於漸凍人無法將大腦的命令傳達給肌肉做出反應，會逐步影響到大腦能夠控制的各種肌肉。發病初期大腦能夠持續感知外界種種活動，卻無法指揮身體做出回應，病人的處境就如同逐漸冰凍般無法動彈。但漸凍人患者其實大部分頭腦意識清楚，只是受限於肢體無法做出動作反應，因此財團法人精密研究發展中心運用電極貼片來感應患者眨眼的次數與頻率，透過訊號感測分析技術來傳達患者的需求是否需要照顧者的協助，開發出「EOG眼控型溝通輔具」來協助弱勢病友發聲，使患者能透過眨眼的次數即可表達自身需求。
漸凍人患者不論照護人力或輔具耗材的開支都相當可觀，考驗一個家庭的經濟能力，即使將患者送到專業照護機構，患者的照護品質通常是病患家屬最擔心的問題，透過PMC開發的 ” EOG眼控型溝通輔具 ”，能將患者的需求傳達給照護者與遠端家屬同步接收後，做適當的處理，並發出訊號，協助漸凍人患者改善生活品質，降低疾病對家庭造成的衝擊。
這次PMC將捐贈10組設備，給我們漸凍人協會，感謝協會一直一來的協助，感謝我們協會常務監事，也是本屆好人好事八德獎得主游淑華女士的大力牽成，另外還有我們資深病友陳銀雪博士的全程協助系統測試，並適時提供反饋，這也在在證明，我們漸凍人雖然身體動彈不得，但是腦子裡的智慧和熱心，從來都不比正常人來的少，相對的，我們更希望可以更積極地投身奉獻，取之於社會，也用之於社會．
