「THE WORLD’S TOP 250 FINTECH COMPANIES: 2024」は、CNBCとStatistaが共同で選定した注目Fintech企業のリストです。NubankやMarqeta、Coinbaseなど、当番組でお馴染みの企業に加え、アジアやアフリカの企業も含め、世界各地の勢いのあるFintech企業が選出されています。
今回はその中で、世界的に注目企業ながら、これまで大きくは取り上げてこなかった下記の3社について話しました。
１．Oak North Bank (21:19)
Oak North Bankは、MonzoやStarling Bankなど、英国の規制緩和の中で登場した新興銀行の一つですが、中でも創業3年足らずで黒字化したことで有名です。ミドルリスク、ミドルリターンの中小企業向け融資を地道に実行し、法人向け融資ながらNIMは8%超、純利益率は40％超の優良企業となっています。
２．Airwallex (32:55)
Airwallexは、企業の国際送金を効率的にするためのインフラとアプリケーションを提供している企業です。国際送金の領域ではヨーロッパのWiseと並んで著名であり、2022年には$5.5Bの評価額をつけました。エンベデッドファイナンスの形でSaaS企業等に国際送金の機能を提供していることも特徴で、BrexやNavanなど著名な企業がAirwallexのソリューションを利用しています。
３．Navan (43:36)
Navan (元TripActions)は出張管理、経費管理サービスを提供する企業です。コロナ禍では出張需要が激減し、一時は売上が大きく落ち込みましたが、それ以降は経費精算ソフトウェアと法人カードに注力したことで大きな復活を遂げ、コロナ前に$4Bだった評価額を下げることなく2021年10月に評価額7.2Bで資金調達を完了。現在も力強く成長を続けているとのことです。
