Present-Day False Prophets: Celebrities? Influencers?
False prophets and teachers in the Scripture seemed to be religious leaders, sort of like preachers today. But while some preachers today might indeed be false prophets, for the most part, American culture no longer listens. Today we watch and listen and follow celebrities, online influencers, ideologues and activists, maybe intellectuals/professors, many of whom come to us "in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." Their message is a moral relativism that undermines believers, the Church, and American culture's ongoing potential to maintain itself as a free society.
