Funk and BeyondФункции Фанка podcastнаконец (ну естественно, к сожалению) новогодние праздники закончены и можно возвращаться к делам. довольно-таки мало времени удаётся выкроить для блога в связи с музыкальными и около музыкальными делами, как-то гастроли и работа в студии. но, тем не менее, я наконец-таки добрался до записи микса, посвящённого танцевальным перлам ушедшего года. я естественно прежде всего говорю о тех треках, которые на протяжении года игрались мной на вечеринках и в клубах. по большей части это брейкс, который я так люблю и который надеюсь любите и вы. фанк, хип-хоп, соул со сносящими крышу и вызывающими бурю положительных эмоций ритмами. не могу сказать, что я прям в восторге от количества подобной музыки увидевшей свет в прошедшем 2007м. да и честно говоря не особо-то я следил за новыми синглами, которые выходили на протяжении года. гораздо больше внимания я уделял старому доброму фанку конца 60х начала 70х годов.. ну да я об этом уже говорил. ближе к делу!
и так. первая часть подкаста. получасовой микс из замечательной музыки, главным образом состряпанный из синглов на любимых сорокопятках. освятить прям всё-всё-всё, что у меня имеется в коллекции, и что пришлось мне по душе я бы конечно не смог. ограничился 18 любимыми треками, что, скажу я вам, совсем не мало.
как обычно лучше всего удались каверы. всё новое - хорошо забытое старое. да, это так. The Otis Funkmeyer Band feat Leslie Rochele - Why Are You Refusing My Love. Это по моему мнению кавер года. оригинал принадлежит Глории Уолкер (Gloria Walker) оборотная сторона пластинки так же кавер и не менее “штормовой” можете найти в предыдущих подкастах. так же замечательно вышел кавер на старика Джеймса Бруна у Pacific Rhythm Combo - Honky Tonk Popcorn. трек находится на сборнике Black Feeling (сборник великолепный надо сказать)… что еще.. ну конечно бессмертный Shaft In Africa в версии Hypnotic Brass Ensemble - Brass In Africa мне нравится гораздо больше оригинала. ну а немцы The Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band переиграли один из моих самых любимых треков опять же моих любимых The Meters - Look-A Py Py. так же в микс затисалось одно переиздание. ну уж очень мне нравится этот трек. своей драматичностью и некоторой рокнрольностью. я говорю про Dennis The Fox - Piledriver.
далее скажу о парочке треков с альбомов, которые произвели на меня впечатление. альбомов, которые мне понравились было естественно гораздо больше, и я обязательно посвящу им отдельный пост моего блога, как я это делал в прошлом году. но в особенности хочется отметить Coockin’ On 3 Burners - Keb’s Bucket с альбома Backed, Broiled & Fryed, The Quantic Soul Orchestra - Panama City с альбома Tropidelico и несравненную Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings с заглавным треком 100 Days, 100 Nights с одноимённого альбома.
в общем хватит болтать, слушайте микс, оставляйте свои комментарии ну и ваше мнения по поводу аналогичной музыки, которая запомнилась вам в прошедшем году.
