Critics loved it and it makes for a fun discussion. While not your traditional RomCom, this movie has a lot of Rom (yes, some absolutely cringey), and is said to have been instrumental in reviving the R-rated comedy. The Best Friend and Imposters & Secret vibes are strong here, but this movie has it all - Dwight Yoakam, balloon animals, and maple syrup. Mom! JLaw and Bradley at their best, but the supporting cast and writing make this movie worth watching again and again. Come for the awkward reunion backdrop, stay for the indie music, skinny ties, and dark comedy. It's all at once a truly realistic family comedy, a thoughtful romance, and a coming of age winner. Over the top and subtly sweet. This Oscar winning Rom includes mild hijinks, a whole lot of fashion, and a twist that makes for good discussion in the episode. The time to make up you mind about people is never.
