For some unknown reason, a player reported my "looking for players" post either because they were simply upset with me (meaning I did not violate any terms or community standards) or possibly misread my intentions.

You Got The Ron DudeReview of The Flash (2023) - YGTRD podcast #25The Flash movie is fun, fast, weird and unbalanced. Keaton's Batman shines in every scene, same with Supergirl. Two Barrys unfortunately don't make a right! There's alot of good stuff in this movie but in this episode I break down what didn't work. Sadly, a massive box office flop costing the studio more or less $200 million dollars. Perhaps if this came out right after 2016s "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and just before Whedon's "Justice League" (2017) - it would have fared better.

Seems that if the writers stuck to the restaurant-hunt theme, things would have faired better for the franchise. NPH's performance and star blowing up will always be attributed to the White Castle installment, but the sequels didn't gain nearly as much buzz. I'd still like to see at least one more chapter from these guys, as the sequels were still funny but just pivoted from what people fell in love with in the first place.

You Got The Ron DudeSuperman vs Batman in 2015! RPC #19 from July 2013"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was eventually released in 2016, to very mixed reviews. I absolutely adore it, the "Martha" connection reveal worked for me, even if it only temporarily paused their battle to join forces to defeat Lex and Doomsday. Superb visuals, great action, loved the addition of Gal's Wonder Woman, just an amazing entry in Snyder's DC universe.

You Got The Ron DudeRobocop (2014) RPC #18 from July 2013Great cast, big names, sadly resulted in an unrewatchable reboot. The skin-tight (well, to whom it applies) suit, forgettable plot. The reveal of how much of Murphy survived was a good, heartbreaking scene. But this movie didn't work, not alot of great chemistry, not enough setup. Odd to release it in February, just in time for Valentine's Day. I watched it once, no desire to see it again.

You Got The Ron DudeThe Wolverine - RPC #17 from July 2013While 2017s Logan was a much more powerful and successful entry for the character, 2013s forgotten The Wolverine is rarely even mentioned. The teaser for DOFP was the highlight, and while I enjoyed the characters and action throughout- it just wasn't captivating enough, not like some other X-Men movies. However, I'd watch this over X3 and Origins.

You Got The Ron DudeX-Men: Days of Future Past - RPC #16 from July 2013Singer all the way! Made Superman Returns instead of X3, and while Vaughn's First Class blew us away, Bryan returned for this and 2016s Apocalypse. Still hoping we get to see his Dark Phoenix saga someday. DOFP has tons of characters but a simple conflict, not branching out to try and set up spinoffs or sequels. A beautiful and brilliant blend of the original cast and the newcomers, fresh off First Class.

Amazing action, great performances, and despite alot of storylines going on- it's massively entertaining. The first installment was a bit lacking but still a worthy chapter. After the massive success of No Way Home, I know fans are still wanting a third (+) installment starring Garfield.

You Got The Ron DudeThe Hobbit film trilogy discussion - RPC #14 from June 2013While There and Back Again is a great title, I'm more pleased with Battle of the Five Armies. It's definitely a war film, packed with one of the best action-heavy finales in film history. The cliffhanger at the end of Desolation was very pleasing, thankfully we only had to wait a year to see the next and final chapter. I'm sure Tom Bombadil will have his own movie someday, surprised it hasn't already happened though.

You Got The Ron DudeWill Superman steel the box office?! RPC #13 from June 2013Man of Steel is still a mixed bag of nuts. Audiences praise the performance of General Zod, Lois, Supes himself, pretty much perfect casting all around. If it weren't for the shaky-cam style of filming, I'd probably watch this at least every few years. Thankfully, much like JJ Abrams, Snyder abandoned the shaky-shaky after this, which delivered a more visually-pleasing BvS sequel. Ghostbusters II didn't exactly blow audiences away, so that's also a factor as to why it took so many years to make a third installment. I now consider a "podbit" for my current podcast, I'll stick with the continuity and still call this an episode. I love The Hobbit trilogy, and had and have no problem with it being split into 3 films. Each is packed with tons of character development, tons of thrills, adventure and heartwarming moments. I mention the return of Legolas, whom I had no problem with returning. We get to learn more about the character, as he certainly displays more emotions throughout Desolation and Battle.

Still want Wolves to show some real fighting skills! So badly wanted him to get one strike at Magneto in DOFP! The franchise is messy regarding the timeline. Different directors, different visions, multiple origin stories. I'm sure one day we'll get the ultimate Dark Phoenix saga.

You Got The Ron DudeJurassic Park 4 - RPC #6 from March 2013This movie was released in 2015, and performed extremely well, both at the box office and review-wise. I still stand up for The Lost World (1997). Well, Grant and Ellie eventually returned in 2022's Jurassic World: Dominion (another flop I really enjoyed). There was quite a gap between 3 and 4. The trilogy of the World series didn't work simply because the third installment (Dominion) tied to the events in the second installment, rather than them setting it up in the first World. Plus, the second chapter Fallen Kingdom wasn't well received.

The "Prince" reference I should have phrased differently, as I actually enjoy the music in the movie, it's amazing how the music is loud and bright at times yet the tone of the overall movie is still rather dark. Wow, my Walken was underwhelming, practice has certainly paid off over the years! I still haven't seen 2004s "Catwoman" with Halle Berry, seen clips but nothing reeled me in. Was ready to shut it off about 50 minutes in but I always give the entire movie a chance. Gary Gray) in which Deckard is paired with the fast family to help track Dom, yet there seems to be little to no struggle given that he murdered Han. They simply move on, and of course at the end when Deckard delivers little Brian to Dom, they shake hands but no mention of Han.
