209- Relations publiques : outil pour les dirigeants (CEOs)
Bonjour ami RP ! ». Il est clair, pour moi, qu’il a pu se rendre à la tête du pays grâce, entre au...

209- Public Relations: A Tool for Leaders (CEOs)
Hello, PR friend! Have you ever noticed that their popularity increases when leaders engage in public relations? You've often heard me talk about Elon Musk, who became just as famous as the company Tesla that he created, thanks to the media. Think of that former U.S. president, who was already very well-known before even hosting the famous show "The Apprentice" and the unforgettable phrase, "You are fired!" It's clear to me that he rose to the presidency in part because of the media's visibility. This...

Brandon Sánchez Mejia stood at a giant wall in UC Berkeley’s Worth Ryder Art Gallery and couldn’t believe his eyes. In front of him were 150 black-and-white photos of men’s bodies in all sorts of poses and from all sorts of angles. Forust - 3D Printing to Rematerialize Wood Waste
Every year, 15 Million trees are cut down to produce paper, build homes, and make furniture. From this, millions of tons of wood waste are generated annually. A portion of this waste is recovered and sold to downstream markets to make particle board or wood pellets for energy. The remaining sawdust is either burned - contributing to air pollution - or sent to landfill. Though biodegradable, sawdust can be harmful to the environment in large quantities when landfilled. As it decomposes, sawdust releases high concentrations of lignin and fatty acids, which can contaminate water supplies, potentially poisoning wildlife and micro-organisms...

59: Teeter totters as activism: How the border wall became a playground
When UC Berkeley architect Ronald Rael took his bright pink teeter totters to the U.S.-Mexico border wall, he didn't know that what he and his team did next would go viral. He just wanted to create a moment where people on both sides of the wall felt connected to each other. “Women and children completely disempowered this wall for a moment, for 40 minutes," says Rael. "There was a kind of sanctuary hovering over this event."Read the story and see photos on UC Berkeley News: https://news.berkeley.edu/2019/10/08/teeter-totters-as-activism-ronald-rael/ Hosted on Acast. An architect's subversive reimagining of the US-Mexico border wall | Ronald Rael
What is a border? It's a line on a map, a place where cultures mix and merge in beautiful, sometimes violent and occasionally ridiculous ways. And a border wall? An overly simplistic response to that complexity, says architect Ronald Rael. In a moving, visual talk, Rael reimagines the physical barrier that divides the United States and Mexico -- sharing satirical, serious works of art inspired by the borderlands and showing us the border we don't see in the news. "There are not two sides defined by a wall. This is one landscape, divided," Rael says.
