当然，那些在世俗行业中工作的人也可以拥有同样高远的呼召和目标。但前提是，他们做这些事是为了讨神喜悦，是为了荣耀神的国。所以，问题的关键不在于你投身哪个行业或从事何种工作，而在于你的目标和动机是什么。
其实，很多人都在浪费生命，他们没有任何目标，也不知意义何在。另一些人虽然有目标，但却是错误的，因为从根本上说，这些目标并无意义。很多到达顶峰的人最终发现，他们把人生阶梯搭到了一堵错误的墙上。找准生命目标比拥有房产、财物重要得多，因为伟大的生命不在于你拥有多少物质财富，而在于为了什么而活。

我们仅是通过观看高手过招，就已经收获良多。我们意识到, 无论对方的发球有多刁钻，你都有机会扣杀。我们看到每次接球过后迅速返回球场中央的重要性。我们还发现，他二人的击球点都比较高；并观察到他们会避免接打什么类型的扣球。
当大家再次回到场地后，都惊讶地发现自己的球技得到了大幅提高。当然，我们的技术完全无法和顶级选手相比，但因为看到了榜样的示范，我们都上升了一个层次。
