The body was found Wednesday in the Brith Sholom House, along Conshohocken Avenue. The Philadelphia Housing Authority owns the property. Its CEO told the Inquirer that the man was electrocuted while attempting to strip copper wire from the basement.
PHA says it has sealed the building since it was closed last August, but there have been several break-ins.
Just this week, the construction trade unions announced a $50 million loan to PHA to renovate Brith Sholom into low-income senior housing.
