Like so many friends on both sides of the fence I had a blender full of emotions and my share of existential rage that needed to be tempered for me to just conduct daily life. I am not suggesting that it’s a good idea to hide or bury outrage, or to hide fear, but only offer that there is some value in meditating on it a bit. As recently as the explosive investigation known as the Panama Papers, governments, corporations, and financial systems around the world have been shown to be cooperating to hide money, stealing from their respective peoples. This song is from Simeon Peebler's second album, Missing Anchor.
Many of the topics tackled by the nine tracks featured: Occupy Wall Street, off-shore tax shelters, Trayvon Martin, and Abraham Lincoln pair up nicely with some more personal songs about healing hearts and surviving the waterfalls we face in our world.
