WASU Afternoon News Updates02/27/2023 PM News BreakIn local news, Beech Mountain TDA votes to give $600,000 toward the Visitor Center Expansion. Recently, there has been a lot of discussion about how much money the TDA would be putting toward this project, and the town eventually discovered that the TDA would fund half of the project, according to Town Manager, Bob Pudney. According to the Watauga Democrat, TDA members Sandy Carr, Kendall Cox, Ben Swadley and Jana Greer were all in favor of funding $600,000, but Mandy Taylor voted against it.
