202 players from three countries and six states teed it up in this 36-hole Golfweek-ranked event.
Coaches from Wichita State, Mary Hardin Baylor, Southwestern saw the Boys 16-18 play 6,721 yards; the Boys 12-15 play 6,373 yards; and all Girls play 5,796 yards in cold and windy weather.

TJGT Radio2009 TJGT Traditions InvitationalThe TJGT Traditions Invitational was played at the Traditions @ Texas A&M golf course on December 5th-6th 2009 in cold and rainy weather. The Boys 12-18 played 6,955 yards and the Girls 12-18 5,920 yards in this 36-hole, Golfweek-ranked event.
College coaches from USTA, Texas A&M, TCU, Liberty, Baylor, and Hill College were there watching the best junior golfers in the region from Mexico, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Kansas, Texas battle it out on a course designed to test even the best of golfers. The event was a mere 48 hours away from not being played due to all of the heavy rain the course had received but the crew at Dornick Hills did a fantastic job of getting the course ready. The Tyler Rose Junior Golf Festival was played May 30-31,2009 in Tyler, Texas at Eagles Bluff CC and the Peachtree Golf Club on the Oakhurst course. Close to 130 players from Arkansas, Texas, Mexico, Oklahoma teed it up in beautiful sunny weather in this 36-hole, Golfweek-ranked event.
The Boys 16-18 played 6,977 yards on Eagles Bluff, all girls played 5,577 yards at Eagles Bluff, and the boys 12-15 played 6,371 yards at Peachtree.
College coaches were in attendance and it was a great weekend of golf.

58 Banners lined the entrance and practice tee of the Traditions club signaling to all the caliber of golfer needed to play such a grueling, relentless golf course. Traditions at Texas A&M definitely showed its teeth against some of the best high school talent in the country. The Dominion Gas Thanksgiving Classic was played November 29th-30th at the Horseshoe Bay Resort in the beautiful hill country with the boys 16-18 playing the Ram Rock course and the boys 12-15 and all girls playing the Apple Rock course. Over 130 players from several states teed it up in this 36-hole Golfweek-ranked event. The Texas Junior Golf Tour held its Traditions Invitational at Texas A & M on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1st and 2nd. The windy and overcast conditions at the difficult Traditions course challenged these elite junior golfers but it did not keep the college coaches away with a minimum of twelve college coaches being seen in attendance at this nationally ranked event.
