'별순검'과 'TEN'으로 한국형 수사드라마의 지평을 열었다는 평가를 받은 이PD는 "개인적으로 TEN 시즌2를 마지막으로 다른 장르에 도전해보고 싶다"는 바람을 전했다. 특수사건전담반의 리더 여지훈 역의 주상욱은 "시즌1을 마칠 즈음부터 시즌2 출연을 기다렸다"라며 "시즌 1에 출연할 당시에만 해도 '굳이 케이블 드라마를 하느냐'는 얘기를 많이 들었지만 대본의 참신함을 믿고 출연을 결정했다. 이제 이 결정이 옳다는 것을 확신하게 됐다"라고 말했다. 그는 "'TEN'의 매력은 실화를 바탕으로 구성돼 현실적이란 점이다.
