Dave grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and worked for newspapers in Rickford, Ill., Lansing, Mich., and Ft. Collins, Colo., before landing in Ogden, Utah. Any list of well-regarded and highly respected editors in Utah newspapering would include Dave, who served as a voice of reason, sound judgment and was a mentor to many reporters who came through Ogden during his tenure.
