Walter Rodney was an immensely influential Black intellectual, political activist and radical thinker of the 1960s and the 1970s. For his radical ideas, writing, speech and his activism, he was assassinated in Guyana at the age of 38, leaving a legacy which we discuss in this episode. Rodney was Marxist in his thinking, but his positions were still his own. He mixed Marxist class analysis with Black nationalism and Pan-Africanism.
