He took up playing the game Red Dead Redemption 2 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and quickly saw an undercurrent of themes related to the late 19th and early 20th century in the game. Realizing there could be educational value in using the game as a vehicle to discuss these concepts, Dr. Olsson has proposed a collegiate course using the game as a teaching tool.
