Ep 24 Peter Asher Music Legend - Full Show
Best known as one half of '60s hitmakers Peter & Gordon, Peter Asher later enjoyed great success as a producer. Born in London on June 22, 1944, he was the older brother of Jane Asher, longtime girlfriend of the Beatles' Paul McCartney. While attending the Westminster School for Boys, he first met fellow student Gordon Waller, and together they began playing together as a duo. Asher's connection to the Fab Four was a crucial one, as he and Waller were often given unrecorded Lennon-McCartney songs to perform, most notably their first and biggest hit, 1964's decidedly Beatlesque "World Without Love."

Unknown Soldier Single
It is the day after ANZAC Day, that occasion when Australians and New Zealanders commemorate those who died in the defence of our country. At a time like this, it is worth considering the inscription bourne by many military tombstones across the world - 'Unknown Soldier - Known Unto God'.This is not just a way of saying, "We don't know who he is; I guess God does." It has a profound meaning about the peculiar way in which God knows His creatures.

Better ROI from Software Development
#11: We need to talk about Culture
In the last five episodes I've introduced a number of terms to help us move away from the traditional software development practices. In episode 6, I introduced the Minimum Viable Product as a way to rethink our traditional ideas of waterfall style software projects. I recommend using MVP as a way to approach the traditional problems of unknown benefits, unknown costs and unknown risks. In episode 7, I introduced Lean as a backup to the mind set behind Minimum Viable Product. Lean's strong manufacturing pedigree stands out as a proven method of reducing waste, delivering faster throughput...
