I always wondered about the extreme hatred and disgust Jews had against tax collectors. A deep dive made me better understand why the wee man was probably hated more than most. I talk about sycamore trees, the difference between Publicani vs hired tax collectors, the taxes themselves and what was the treatment toward collectors. It's always refreshing to see that, where people only see unredeemable trash, Jesus saw a person with value and worthy...2023-08-0331 minDon’t Take My Word For ItDon’t Take My Word For ItPrautes: Verdadera Mansedumbre (Spanish Pilot episode)¡Bienvenido al primer episodio piloto en español! A través de este estudio, espe...2023-07-2732 minDon’t Take My Word For ItDon’t Take My Word For ItPrautes: True Meekness**This episode is available in Spanish as a pilot episode titled: "Prautes: verdadera mansedumbre"** This is my first attempt at creating content in both languages for more accessibility. Here we explore the meaning of the word meekness and how we often think about this virtue incorrectly. If we sought to guide our daily walk, with God's help, adopting a meek attitude, our lives would be VASTLY different. Things like not wanting to help in church, having anxiety over saying "yes" to ministry requests, burnout and more. We do not have to pretend there hasn't been at least one occasion when serving, or being asked to serve, evokes a "NOPE" reaction. Our reasons may be quite varied. Here we take a dive into matters of the heart and root reasons why we get uncomfortable serving or committing. This dive is necessary since these hidden reasons may eventually lead us to wear...2023-07-2034 minDon’t Take My Word For ItDon’t Take My Word For ItA Year as a Mole: Lessons in Time of TrialIn this episode I seek to share the reality of my trial pertaining my health to an extent.
