A new report predicts Victoria's economy will make the fastest recovery in Australia despite last year's covid lockdowns.
Victoria was poised to take the biggest economic hit from the covid-19 pandemic. However, the latest business outlook from consultancy Deroitte Access Economics tips that Victorian economy could rebound faster than expected. The report estimates economic growth will hit 5.4% this year ahead of QLD at 4.7% and NSW at 4.2%, meanwhile the latest data from the Australian bureau statics also shows positive signs of recovery with more than 150,000 victorians finding work in the last quarter of 2020.
