(Airdate 1/15/25) Women of Color Unite (WOCU) is a social action organization focusing on fair access, fair treatment and fair pay for women of color in all aspects of the entertainment and media industries. Cheryl Bedford is the founder of the organization and a filmmaker with 16 independent films and dozens of television and digital programs under her belt. She has a BFA from NYU and an MFA from AFI. On this podcast we look at the impacts of the LA fires on the business of Hollywood and how to open doors and hold the line for Black women in the space.
