愛的凱歌 (Adore Him)親近，更親近 ("Nearer, Still Nearer")/ 與主更親近 ("Nearer, My God, to Thee")Hi, 各位聽眾朋友們，平安！歡迎收聽愛的凱歌(Adore Him)，我是Judy。 今天要和大家分享兩首讚美詩—〈親近，更親近〉(“Nearer, Still Nearer”)以及〈與主更親近〉(“Nearer, My God, to Thee”)。 〈親近，更親近〉(“Nearer, Still Nearer”)的詩詞與曲調都是由Lelia N. Morris所創作。Lelia N. Morris出生在美國俄亥俄州，她的一生幾乎都在該州的馬爾他（Malta）度過。她的父親是美國南北戰爭中的軍人，退役回家鄉後不久便過世。於是她和姊姊、媽媽開了一家女帽店，維持家庭生計。她的母親非常重視她和其他六個弟兄姐妹們的信仰與靈性成長，經常以聖經的話語教導他們。 而雖然家境貧寒，鄰居發現她有音樂天賦，便允許她隨時可以去鄰居家練琴。她13歲開始，便在教會司琴。Lelia N. Morris一生創作了約超過一千首以上的聖詩詩詞與曲調。對她來說，創作詩歌如同做每天的家務一樣。她身邊隨時會帶著紙與筆，將任何的體會與感受記錄下來，為著詩歌創作隨時做預備。她經常參加在俄亥俄州內舉辦的靈修營會。她曾分享，許多創作詩歌的靈感皆是在參加靈修會時得到啟發。 1913年，Lelia N. Morris 50多歲時，視力開始衰退，所以她的兒子製作了一塊 28 英尺長的大黑板，上面寫著五線譜，好讓她能夠繼續創作詩歌。然而不到一年，她的視力完全消失。即便在如此的景況，在她幾位信實朋友的協助之下，Leia N. Morris能夠持續創作。1928 年，大約她去世前一年，她和丈夫搬到俄亥俄州奧本市(Auburn)，與女兒 (R. W. Funk) 同住，隔年7 月 23 日在那裡去世。 〈親近，更親近〉(“Nearer, Still Nearer”)這首讚美詩共四節歌詞，歌詞中指出親近救主必不可少的幾個要素。第一節歌詞指出，我們必須渴望親近主；渴望親近祂，投靠在祂的懷抱。主希望我們親近祂。那些如此親近祂的人，主要成為他們的避難所，並要安息在祂的裡面（詩篇61:3）。 第二節歌詞告訴我們，我們必須尋求耶穌的寶血帶來潔淨，好讓我們更加親近主。我們來到主的面前，有什麼可以獻給主的呢？來到主的面前，我們所帶來的任何東西都不能成為贖罪的祭物（提多書3:5）。我們的心充滿著許多的罪惡與污穢，然而「憂傷痛悔的心」，主必不輕看（詩篇51:17）。憑著信心，我們相信主耶穌的寶血必要潔淨我們。我們的「罪雖像硃紅，必變成雪白；雖紅如丹顏，必白如羊毛。」（以賽亞書1:18） 第三節歌詞進一步告訴我們，來到主面前親近祂，不僅要有一顆謙卑降伏在主面前悔改的心，還當下定決心棄絕一切的罪惡。單單親近主；親近、親近、更親近—親近為我們受釘十架的主耶穌。 第四節歌詞告訴我們，耶穌基督是我們靈魂的錨—我們有這靈魂的錨，又堅固又牢靠（希伯來書6:19），幫助我們度過許多的歲月，直到那日的來到，在祂永恆的榮耀中，與主永遠同在。 今天要和大家分享的另外一首讚美詩，標題為〈與主更親近〉(“Nearer, My God, to Thee”)。這首讚美詩是生活在1800年代初期的英國女演員、詩人和讚美詩作家Sarah Flower Adams創作的。1841年，教會的牧師威廉·福克斯(William Fox)到Adams在倫敦的家中拜訪。交談中，牧師提起自己找不到一首適切配合接下來主日講道、讓會眾能夠一同頌唱的回應詩。Sarah F. 愛的凱歌 (Adore Him)耶穌，我來＆主啊，我要回家 ("Jesus, I Come with Lord, I Am Coming Home")Hi, 各位聽眾朋友們，平安！歡迎收聽愛的凱歌(Adore Him)，我是Judy。 在聖經福音書中，我們不難發現，耶穌在世傳福音時，不論是耶穌主動親近稅吏和罪人，或者稅吏和罪人自己去挨近耶穌，要聽祂講道，當時的法利賽人和文士為此常批評耶穌。對於法利賽和文士私下議論祂「接待罪人」、「和稅吏吃飯」等等行徑，耶穌回應：「康健的人用不著醫生，有病的人才用得著。我來本不是召義人，乃是召罪人。」（馬可福音2:17）耶穌還用失錢的比喻、失羊的比喻和浪子回頭的故事告訴他們，祂不單單呼召罪人悔改，還要為著寶貴靈魂的悔改大大歡喜；而天上的使者、眾天使和聖徒，也都要和祂一同大大地歡喜（路加福音15:7, 10）。更令人動容的是，如同路加福音15章「浪子回頭」故事中等候小兒子回家的父親，我們的天父必要展開祂愛的膀臂，迎接回轉歸向祂的兒女。 今天要和大家分享的聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉(“Lord, I Am Coming Home”)，可說是反映了路加福音15章記載浪子悔改、將心歸正，奔向天父愛的膀臂的情景。聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉(“Lord, I Am Coming Home”)是由William J. Kirkpatrick在1892年填詞譜曲的創作。 William J. Kirkpatrick年幼時，就開始學習演奏各種樂器，也接受正規的音樂訓練。早年他一面在傢俱工廠工作，一面在閒暇時間創作音樂，也到不同的教會司琴，並在各教會的主日學和詩班擔任音樂指導。1861年，美國內戰初期，他加入在賓州 (Pennsylvania)的第九十一師團自願軍。1862年，當他的職位被取消後，他離開那裡的服務，並當了一段時間的木匠。幾年後，他的後半生才完全致力於投入音樂事奉與相關的工作。 雖然早期，William J. Kirkpatrick 跪在自己的帳棚內，開始迫切地為這個人禱告。在禱告中，他懇求神幫助他能夠創作一首新的聖詩，詩詞的內容，能夠讓這位獨唱歌手在演唱時，不再是倚賴自己原本就有的一副好嗓子，也不是依靠後天訓練習得的高超技巧，而是能夠從心靈深處，向著神歌唱；把自己單單完全地獻給神。持續地禱告，過了幾天後，在一個晚上，神垂聽他的禱告；那晚，他自然而然地、一口氣寫下了這首有五節歌詞加上副歌歌詞的聖詩～〈主啊，我要回家〉 (“Lord, I’m Coming Home”)。緊接著，他為這首詩詞譜上曲子，並將這首聖詩交給那位獨唱歌手。接下來某個晚上的露天聚會中，這位歌手獨唱完這首新創作的聖詩後，留下來聽講道信息，並在那晚走到台前，領受救恩，將心獻給了主基督。 聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉 (“Lord, I’m Coming Home”)，標題是取自副歌的第一句話；但有的聖詩歌本則以此聖詩的第一句〈我已飄離遠離天父〉(“I’ve Wandered Far Away From God”)作為標題。聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉的詩詞內容，以第一人稱來描述一個罪人醒悟過來，熱切渴望回到主的面前的情景。第一節歌詞一開始如此敘述：我遠離天父，在罪惡的道路上飄蕩已久。主啊，如今我要歸家！第二節歌詞中，渴望歸家的罪人如此告白：這麼多年下來我浪費太多寶貴的時間，想到這一切，我傷心流淚，極其的懊悔。主啊，如今我要歸家！第三節：我厭倦犯罪與徘徊屬世的生活，如今我要投靠在主的愛裡；信靠祂的話語。主啊，如今我要回家！第四節：我的心靈生病，我的心疼痛難受；求主使我重新有盼望，求主更新我力量。主啊，如今我要回家！第五節：我唯一的盼望，我唯一的懇求：此刻，我要回家；耶穌受死—耶穌祂為我受死，主啊，如今我要回家！第六節歌詞：我深知我需要耶穌的寶血潔淨我，現在我要回家；洗淨我，使我白如雪，主啊！如今我要回家！*（附註1） 最後，隨著每節歌詞罪人在主前的告白後，緊接著副歌的部分，悔改歸向神的罪人從心靈深處呼喊著： 回家，回家 Coming home, coming home, 永不再飄盪 Nevermore to roam, 主祢（向我）展開愛的膀臂 Open wide Thine arms of love, 主啊！我正回家歸向祢 Lord, I’m coming home. 近代的作曲家Sharon Wilson將聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉 (“Lord, I’m Coming Home”)和另外一首聖詩〈耶穌，我來〉(“Jesus, I Come”)串連在一起，改編成鋼琴獨奏的版本。Sharon Wilson 採取如同三明治的手法，以A-B-A方式的排列組合呈現這兩首聖詩的組合。*（附註2） A樂段以聖詩〈耶穌，我來〉(“Jesus, I Come”)作為此首鋼琴獨奏樂曲的開始，Sharon Wilson試圖讓我們想起，這首聖詩詩詞中所表達、我們當來到救主耶穌的面前，向祂熱切告白：救主耶穌，我要脫離一切的罪惡、黑暗與魔鬼的權勢，我要來到祢面前；救主耶穌，我要放下一切的煩惱、棄絕自我的驕傲，我要來到祢面前；救主耶穌，我要交託一切的懼怕與軟弱，我要來到祢面前。這首聖詩詩詞內容，讓人想起主耶穌在約翰福音8:31-36的應許。 耶 穌 對 信 他 的 猶 太 人 說 ： 你 們 若 常 常 遵 守 我 的 道 ， 就 真 是 我 的 門 徒 ；你 們 必 曉 得 真 理 ， 真理 必 叫 你 們 得 以 自 由 。他 們 回 答 說 ： 我 們 是 亞 伯 拉 罕 的 後 裔 ， 從 來 沒 有 作 過 誰 的 奴 僕 。 你怎 麼 說 你 們 必 得 自 由 呢 ？耶 穌 回 答 說 ： 我 實 實 在 在 的 告 訴 你 們 ， 所 有 犯 罪 的 就 是 罪 的 奴 僕。奴 僕 不 能 永 遠 住 在 家 裡 ； 兒 子 是 永 遠 住 在 家 裡 。所 以 天 父 的 兒 子 若 叫 你 們 自 由 ， 你 們 就真 自 由 了 。 緊接著B樂段，Sharon Wilson就以聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉 (“Lord, I’m Coming Home”) 來展現罪人悔改、迫切歸家的情景。 最後此首樂曲再度回到A樂段聖詩〈耶穌，我來〉(“Jesus, I Come”)的旋律，Sharon Wilson這樣的作法，似乎想要表達：，行走天路的信仰旅程，有時我們會軟弱或者被迷惑，暫且離開神，但無論如何，總要回來救主耶穌的面前。 Sharon Wilson以這種三明治的手法來編曲--先是聖詩〈耶穌，我來〉，接著是〈主啊，我要歸家〉，最後再次回到〈耶穌，我來〉--企圖告訴我們，任何一位基督徒，不論現在處於任何的屬靈光景中，總要靠著救主耶穌回家—回家！回到天父愛的膀臂中。進一步地我認為，聖詩〈主啊，我要回家〉 (“Lord, I’m Coming Home”)不單單讓我們思想：罪人悔改歸主，以及神愛的接納與擁抱；我們也當深信與確信，當那日來臨，我們要「歸回天家」，與祂永遠同在。 在節目資訊欄中，我們有提供〈主啊，我要回家〉 (“Lord, I’m Coming Home”)和〈耶穌，我來〉(“Jesus, I Come”)這兩首聖詩的相關資訊。節目尾聲，我們邀請您一同來聆聽由Vivien為我們彈奏Sharon Wilson所改編這兩首聖詩的鋼琴獨奏組曲。同時，邀請您一邊聆聽詩歌，一邊默想聖經路加福音15章＆約翰福音8:31-36這兩段經文。願神的愛不斷地激勵著我們，聖靈也引導我2024-10-3118 min
愛的凱歌 (Adore Him)記念主名 ("Take the Name of Jesus with You")Hi, 各位聽眾朋友們，平安！歡迎收聽愛的凱歌(Adore Him)，我是Judy。 聖經中出現許多人物，並且他們名字背後都有特定的意義。Lydia Baxter，這位美國浸信會的平信徒，認識她的朋友都知道，自從信主後，熱愛查考聖經，特別熱衷於研究聖經中人物名字的意義與其重要性。其中，對Lydia Baxter而言，唯有耶穌基督寶貴的名字超越一切。聖經使徒行傳4:12「除他以外，別無拯救；因為在天下人間，沒有賜下別的名，我們可以靠著得救。」 Lydia Baxter，1809年出生於美國紐約州匹茲堡。年輕時，和姊姊聽完一位旅行佈道的浸信會宣教師Eben Tucker講道之後，決志信主，並和姊姊一同參與、籌劃，最後成為在匹茲堡建立浸信會教會的主要負責人。婚後她搬到紐約市。不久，由於一場嚴重的疾病，自此直到過世，大部分時間都臥病在床。儘管如此，她依然樂意將其家庭開放作為傳教士和教會同工開會、或者查經班聚會的場所。甚至，時而探望她的親人、朋友或教會弟兄姊妹，經常被Lydia Baxter充滿喜樂、活潑的心靈所感染。讚美詩研究學家肯尼斯·奧斯貝克(Kenneth Osbeck)曾紀錄：「她(Lydia Baxter)的朋友們常說，到她的病房探望她，與其說是為了鼓勵和安慰她，不如說是為了給他們自己的精神帶來一些振奮和激勵。」 曾經有人問Lydia Baxter，自從大病一場，身體有了殘疾，後半生被迫限制在病床上，哪裡也去不得，加上常常受到各種病痛與疼痛的折磨，究竟使她常常保持喜樂心靈的秘訣是什麼呢？她回答：「我有一件非常特別的盔甲。我有耶穌的名字。當試探者試圖使我沮喪時，我就提起耶穌的名字，他 [試探者] 就再也無法影響我。耶穌的名字的意思是『救贖主』，它來自約書亞和約阿施名字的同一個希伯來詞根。」 Lydia Baxter一生創作許多首聖詩；台語聖詩第466首「天頂大開恩典的門」(There Is A Gate That Stands Ajar)就是她創作的。她也寫了許多的詩詞，甚至在1855年出版了有兩百多頁、標題為《路邊的寶石》（Gems by the Wayside）的靈修詩集。而直到今日，她所創作的聖詩目前唯一仍被廣泛使用的聖詩為“Take the name of Jesus with You”。這首聖詩中文的標題，有些聖詩歌本翻譯為〈記念主名〉、有的翻譯〈耶穌之名至寶〉，在台語聖詩則將標題翻譯為〈凡若有人憂悶傷悲〉——也就是採取這首聖詩第一句歌詞，作為聖詩的標題。 〈記念主名〉(“Take the name of Jesus with You”)是Lydia Baxter在1870年，也就是她過世前四年創作的。威廉·杜恩（William Doane，1832-1915 年）為這首詩詞譜曲。William Doane和另一位福音歌曲作曲家羅伯特·洛瑞（Robert Lowry，1826-1899）1871年出版共同編輯的讚美詩詩歌本，《純金為主日學》（Pure Gold for the Sunday School）；其中收錄了聖詩〈記念主名〉(“Take the name of Jesus with You”)。自此，這首聖詩經常在主日崇拜中被吟唱。此外，在19 世紀下半葉佈道家穆迪(Dwight Lyman Moody)與其同工桑基(Ira. D. Hi, 各位聽眾朋友們，歡迎收聽愛的凱歌Adore Him。 今天要和大家分享的讚美詩為〈奇異恩典〉(“Amazing Grace”)。英國《衛報》稱這首讚美詩為「基督教國歌」。2020年新冠疫情在世界各地肆虐，同年4月12日，被稱為世界第四男高音的音樂家安德烈·波切利（Andrea Bocelli）站在義大利米蘭大教堂門口前，面對著教堂廣場獨唱這首讚美詩。2023年1月1日，這首讚美詩迎來了它第250週年紀念日。 許多人知道〈奇異恩典〉這首讚美詩的創作背景，與作詞者約翰．牛頓(John Newton)在海上經歷暴風，禱告尋求神的拯救有關。但是，約翰．牛頓一生的經歷，比起這個情節，更能深刻體現「上帝的奇異恩典」這句話的意涵。 牛頓在1725年出生於英國倫敦。他的父親是西班牙人；母親則是英國人，一位敬虔的基督徒。牛頓七歲時，母親過世。11歲開始，跟著父親跑船，不久，他的父親娶了第二任妻子。牛頓漸漸地開始過著叛逆、放蕩的人生。 受到父親影響，牛頓17歲時成為海員，不久受其他水手的影響，染上吃喝嫖賭等各種惡習。英法戰爭爆發時，他被強行徵召入伍，靠著父親的關係，他在船艦上得到了副官的職位，於是開始驕傲起來，看不起那些跟他從前一樣是普通水手的船員。接著，軍中有人介紹他讀了一本無神論的書籍，牛頓的行為變得越發墮落，常常褻瀆神的名。有一回，艦長派他去捉拿一個逃兵，結果他自己卻趁機逃跑。被逮補回來後，他再次被貶為一般的水手，在眾人面前受鞭刑。為此，他萌生謀殺艦長的意圖。因神的恩典，遭到神無形之手的制止。 牛頓退伍，離開海軍之後，轉往一家商船工作，依然過著渾渾噩噩的生活。後來，他在阿莫斯．克勞(Amos Clowe)手作工作。克勞的妻子對牛頓存有許多戒心和偏見，於是趁著有次丈夫遠洋在外，藉故百般折磨牛頓，甚至讓牛頓成為黑人的奴隸。克勞回家後，妻子又誣告牛頓偷竊，於是克勞用鐵鍊、枷鎖鎖住牛頓的腳踝，用盡各種辦法折磨他，使他生不如死……。牛頓在危難中，託人帶信向父親求救。神恩典的手再次伸向他。經過一番波折，1748年春天，受父親所託的朋友，幫助牛頓搭上一艘遠洋輪船「灰狗號」，從非洲返回英國。 橫跨大西洋途中，牛頓又開始胡作非為，毫無顧忌地謾罵、褻瀆神的名，嘲諷《聖經》中的話語。但有天夜晚，他讀到Thomas Kempis所著的《效法基督》(Imitation of Christ)一書，大為震撼⋯，緊接著，那晚夜半，「灰狗號」進入暴風雨中心。所有船員與暴風搏鬥，直到第二天早上。雖然大家已經精疲力盡，但風暴依然繼續。正當船長開會和大家商量辦法時，牛頓脫口說出連他自己都很驚訝的話：「…我們這樣做還不夠，我們還需要求主憐憫我們！」危難中，牛頓也想起《聖經》中的話語，為著自己過往的罪孽深感痛悔。神的憐憫與恩典再次臨到牛頓。最終「灰狗號」脫離暴風圈，一個月後在愛爾蘭靠岸。 上岸後，牛頓立刻前往教堂，跪下禱告，感謝神的憐憫與恩典，一方面為著過去人生中辱罵與褻瀆神的名，向神認罪悔改；另一方面向神禱告，願意將自己的餘生奉獻給神，被神使用。 雖然牛頓經歷這次生命的大翻轉，但因不久前才結婚，為了養家，他又去應徵從事與奴隸貿易有關的船長工作。神的憐憫與恩典再次臨到他，花了近七年的時間，在一次病倒後，醫生證實牛頓再也無法從事船員的工作後，他因而獲得了一份觀潮員的工作。此後，牛頓定期參加主日崇拜。 在教會，他和後來成為著名的佈道家約翰．衛斯理(John Wesley)一起學習拉丁文和希伯來文《 聖經》。在期間，牛頓也想起了母親生前對他的代禱，以及對他的期望--希望他將來能成為牧師，侍奉神。當時英國國教嚴格規定，沒有受過神學大學教育者，無法取得牧師資格。牛頓沒有放棄，透過不斷地在家練習與在教堂做見證，提升自己講道的水準。1764年他寫的《一篇真實的記述》成為當年英國的暢銷書。同年，英國聖公會破例按立他為牧師。 成為牧師後，牛頓在偏遠的小市鎮奧爾尼 （Olney）侍奉主。牧會期間，養成了寫讚美詩的習慣。他配合每週講道的信息，創作詩歌，幫助會眾更能深入了解信息內容。其中，許多詩歌都是他與當地的一位詩人，也是他的好友威廉．考柏（William Cowper）一起寫的。 1773年的新年禮拜之前，牛頓為配合當天的講道信息──歷代志上十七章16-17節，和考柏寫了〈奇異恩典〉這首讚美詩。（1879年倆人創作的《奧爾尼詩集》 （Olney Hymns）問世，總共收錄348首聖詩，牛頓寫的佔280首；其中最能反映約翰一生經歷的就是〈奇異恩典〉。） 在奧爾尼牧會16年後，牛頓回到出生地倫敦。1787年，在牛頓脫離奴隸販者的身分34年後，他打破沉默，出版了《論非洲奴隸貿易》（Thoughts upon the African Slave Trade）一書，勇敢向社會坦承自己曾是運送黑奴的船長。當時英國國會議員威廉．威伯福斯（William Wilberforce）深受本書啟發，在本書出版的隔年，1788年，提出廢奴法案。1807年，也就是二十年後，禁止買賣黑奴的相關法律在英國國會最終獲得通過。同年，約翰牛頓返回天家，享年82歲。 回天家前，牛頓隨著年紀增長，記憶力大不如從前，但他告白：「雖然我的記憶力逐漸衰退，我卻清楚記得兩件事：我是個大罪人，基督是我偉大的救主。」（“Although my memory's fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.“） ------------------------------------------ ＊ 奇異恩典 (“Amazing Grace”) 中英歌詞對照： Amazing grace how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now I’m found Was blind but now I see 奇異恩典，何等甘甜，我罪已得赦免， 前我失喪，今被尋回，瞎眼今得看見。 ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace my fears relieved How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed 如此恩典，使我敬畏，使我心得安慰， 初信之時，既蒙恩惠，真是何等寶貴。 Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come This grace that brought me safe thus far And grace will lead me home 許多危險，試煉網羅，我已安然經過， 靠主恩典，安全不怕，更引導我歸家。 The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. 救主應許，愛我真切，使我今得盼望； 主是盾牌，是我產業，是我生命保障。 Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. 歷盡艱險，勞苦奔走，我今來到主前； 全靠主恩，扶持保佑，恩典帶進永久。 When we’ve been here ten thousand years Bright, shining as the sun We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we first begun 將來禧年，聖徒歡聚，恩光愛誼千年， 喜樂頌讚，在父座前，深望那日快現。 -------------------------------------------------------2024-02-0210 min
