Among the 27 522 areas, 5 areas in the Amalfi Coast cover 76% of its territory. Our intern Laëtitia is giving an overview on how works the Natura 2000 network and why it is essential for the conservation of the biodiversity. She is explaining the caracteristics of the biodiversity of each protected sites and some examples of the fauna and flora. But the protection of these areas is not optimal because of the lack of management plans.
