TW: mention of abuse. For this episode, Jane had the pleasure of chatting with Mike Parish. Mike spent 40 years as an officer in the London Fire Brigade training in disaster management. In 2018 he co-founded www.forbrian.co, a dementia interventions company. Then in 2021, he founded the LGBTQ+ Dementia Advisory Group, which provides advice, support, knowledge and expertise in supporting LGBTQ+ people living with or caring for someone with dementia. Mike is also the husband of Tom Hughes, who he met in 1975 and lived in a beautiful, loving relationship with until Tom passed away with dementia in 2022.
