@neavilleman | How can we view failure not as the end but as a necessary step forward?
Click here to reply to @neavilleman "But what's really, what has prompted me to do, and it's still very much a work in progress, is to look at what I could have done better in my marriage, could have it saved it, I mean, we'll never know. But what it's forced me to do is look inside myself and really see what I could have done better."

Range from playing an instrument to reading about quantum physics. One I understand far more than the other. And I'll let you choose which one it is."

@kwa | What qualities in a tutor help you break through barriers rather than just "get by"?
Click here to reply to @kwa "And within two sessions we had their regular test grades up from 50%, roughly in the 50s to 80s. I've had students who were. When I worked with them, I was so impressed about how. Good and fluent they were. They seemed to be with the subject, but they were getting a D in the class. And so you really have to manage according to the student."

@MRM | What qualities in a tutor help you break through barriers rather than just "get by"?
Click here to reply to @MRM "What was that negative selft talk in their mind that came up and reared its ugly head every time they struggled with something, why they hadn't learned or created some mechanism to try to think through a problem as opposed to just following instructions. That's when we had a breakthrough. That's when I was able to get the student to. To remember that no matter what they're facing, they can do this."

Click here to reply to @MRM "But if we could speak into our children, how they could intentionally change their pathway, are we asking our kids, why are you studying what you're doing? Why are you doing what you're doing? Why does this sport matter to you? Why does this club matter to you? Why does this book matter to you? What is your why? I think that that is a profound question that is definitely not asked enough."

@MRM | How can learners turn what they know into what they earn?
Click here to reply to @MRM "And it's a, it's a journey, it really isn't a destination in, once they get to that part of the process, because where they start in their career is definitely different from where they will retire down the road. So there's going to be different seasons and faces and shapes to what that looks like. But the beginning part of like the learning has to connect to that next part with, with the working. So how do we make that make sense for them?"

Click here to reply to @RSNStudios "There's more ways to determine how somebody can show how they've learned material than just a standard test, you know, and what kind of tests are the best? I mean, I've done, you know, it's been a long time since I've been in a classroom. But back in the day, most of our class, most of our tests were closed book tests and such. @MRM | Do grades measure real learning, or are they outdated?
Click here to reply to @MRM "No, because grades are essentially a metric that are applied to saying, how well can you do in X circumstance with other kids in the room with other. You know, the time you took to memorize the information, the time you took to take the test. But do you truly know the information? A test is not determining that application of life, right? Click here to reply to @MRM "It's a part of how you have and gain more clarity and understanding and also appreciation for the hard work that you're putting towards, whether it's academic or your career or a life goal. Fill in the blank. So rest is productive. And then it makes it so much easier now for me to schedule rest in my daily schedule because it's a part of be me being as productive as I can be and also doing what I need to do for me to get further ahead on goals."

So it's really about this sort of making peace with it. I'll have my supernova days, which I love. Brain is on fire and I feel like I can take over the world. And then I have these other days where. Click here to reply to @arunanandarao "Dr. V. S Ramachandran, a neuroscientist, says our brains are like snowflakes. No two are exactly the same. The brain is made of billions of neurons, a kind of living computer. But how they are connected determines whether someone is creative, logical, anxious or emphatic. People with ADHD have brains wired for fast scattered thinking. Great for creativity, not always for focus. People on autism spectrum might notice patterns or details. Others overlook. Epilepsy is a condition where bursts of electrical activity cause seizures."
