@TheMs.Leanne | Unschooling. Definition and my thoughts.
Click here to reply to @TheMs.Leanne "I have had a lot of people ask me about my opinion about homeschooling and do I feel it's a good fit for children? Do I feel it's irresponsible? Oh my gosh, the questions have been literally insane. I recently had someone send me an article related to this. It's called unschooling. It is an option a lot of parents are taking and I did not know a whole heck of a lot about it other than I thought, all right. It's just another name for homeschooling."

Click here to reply to @TheMs.Leanne "As Memorial Day was officially established as a federal holiday in the United States in 1971. It is observed annually in the United States on the last Monday in May. So that's the brief history part. Now, I do want to point out I never came From a military family. I don't know anyone in my immediate family who was ever in the military. We were more on the education side of things. So ashamedly, I never really understood what this holiday was about."

@TheMs.Leanne | Myasthenia Gravis
Click here to reply to @TheMs.Leanne "Oh, I'm sorry. Tyrosine kinase. Sometimes referred to as musk. Musk. This protein helps form the nerve muscle junction. Antibodies against this protein can lead to myasthenia gravis. Antibodies against another protein called lipoprotein related protein 4, LRP4, say that 20 times fast can play a part in this condition. Research studies have found other antibodies and the number of antibodies involved will likely grow over time. Some people have myasthenia gravis that isn't caused by antibodies blocking acetylcholine, Musk, or LRP4."

Should we cancel bilingual support staff to avoid the appearance of quote, special treatment, end quote? Or would you prefer we just teach all content in English and hope for the best, since acknowledging linguistic barriers now counts as discrimination? And while we're at it, what's your official stance on IEPs? Because last I checked, individualized education plans intentionally give students with disabilities extra support."

And they are people we can learn from on so many levels, so many ways, and they make such a positive impact in the world. And I really hope that as people really think about this, how they define the word hero, that they think about this and think completely about people in the world and not just the fantasy world.
